Default The Official Arsenal Vs Chelsea FA Cup Semi Final Thread

2-1 or 3-1 to arsenal, Adebayor, Van Persie will both score if they both start, Drogba or Lampard might score for Chelsea. There will be a penalty, and maybe Walcott or some other Arsenal player may score a surprise goal.

Just come back from the first day of a coaching course and half the people there were on their way to the match, had to pass through Wembley on the bus back aswell was annoying lol. Spoke to someone else who went who got three tickets for 55 which ain't too bad.

    Repped for the link.

I wonder how Arsenal will line up. Looks like a 4-4-2 with Diaby wide left and RVP/Ade Up Front but to counter Chelsea's 3 man midfield they may go with the 4-3-3 variation they have used in the last month with RVP/Theo wide and Fabregas in the hole with Diaby/Denilson holding

I too am surprised Song isn't starting, but as he started on Wednesday and Denilson sat it out I thought that change would be the most likely if any where to be made. More surprised that Arshavin is on the bench as he should be the freshest

The lack of defensive options on the bench is a bit of a worry too........

my point exactly. IMO song should be on as he could be used to silence Lampard, taking some of the harder work off fabregas

I can only assume that Wenger wants Denilson to do that and he's been rested for this game with that in mind. Song would do a better job, but Wenger has previously voiced his concerns (in the long term) about Songs fitness and stated he see's his long term future at CB.

The other thing I considered, was that if there is an injury to a member of the back 4 song would be better coming off the bench to replace them than re-jigging the midfield and maybe wenger has taken this into account because of the defensive crisis atm
