Default Listening to only instrumental Grime

does anyone on here do this? because i have been doing this more and more lately. so it got me wondering, does anyone on here solely listen to the instrumental side of grime and actually not get bored with it? tbh im bored with grime vocals. all the content is very similar.

so i am basically asking, does anyone here listen to only the instrumental side of grime? and is there enough instrumental to fulfil your musical needs?

    please discuss

I'm more into beats now, started when I was in uni & went through my house phase I was more focused on the beat, when I finally realized house music was more boring & they all sounded the same went back to listening to more grime but I'd focus on the beat more

When people post stuff on here I tend to focus on the beat 1st

Yea, I listen to instrumentals a lot. Swifta Beater, Blay, Spyro or Heavytrackerz to name a few. Not classic grime though

Yep also do the same, i listen to a lot of instrumentals, nice to just appreciate the actual beat alone sometimes, i do this with classic grime too.

That was a blast from the past lol

    Beats >>>>>> Vocals

You'll find a lot of producers make beats for other genres too. Listening to just instrumentals will open a lot of doors in your taste for music

overall quality of instrumentals trumps quality of vocals in grime usually

but grime intstruemtnals are repetitive. when the right mc gets on a good instro >>>>>
i listen to lots of instrumentals though too. Probably about 50/50 with/w.o vocals

I listen recent Slimzee Rinse Sets for good instrumentals , and Spyro always play good new vocals at the beginning of his shows but is difficult to get the artist and cop it quickly

Murlo does some good new era grime tunes:

Pretty much always preferred instrumentals. Mostly because a lot of the time mcs vocal beats that I consider to be average/shit.
