So the best player of the season is only the second best young player of the season? And they say footballers aren't intelligent!

What has Bale done in the league this season?

Bale is a hype job. This has to be one of the weakest 'teams of the season' I've seen tbh.

.

Just saw from opta stats he's created fewer chances than Simon Davies at Fulham ffs

Bale got in basically for his performances in Europe, which is a bit of a joke.

Shit award as usual- almost as jokes as when Giggs won it

There's probably a direct correlation between whoever Sky Sports are hyping that season and who wins. I mean what do you think all these footballer's do after training? They just go yard and watch Sky Sports News and shit.

I like Bale but he didnt do anything in the premiership to deserve this. Two good performances against Inter doesnt warrant a PFA award

My thoughts to an extent too. In fact, in comparison I'd say his season's been fairly average.

Van Der Vaart should have won - he had a Lampard/Gerrard season (bare goals and assists) and Lampard and Gerrard weren't really too hot for the first time in a long while, with injuries etc.

Mr. Jefferies
18th April '11, 11:43 AM
What about Nani?

Most assists in Europe - 18.

Naruto

Was gonna say Nani or Hernandez should have won it tbh.

Jack deserved his award though.

Very weak team of the year compared to the past. Who remembers 2007 when 8 man united players were in it

Also, Joe Hart was nominated for being one of the players of the season, but Van Der Sar makes the team of the year? How does that work out

Bale is a joke winner tbh, but the players voted for it. I would have gone Kompany, Parker, Nani in that order.

Basically that game v Inter at the San Siro gassed everyone up and it was a wrap from there. 7 goals, 1 assist gets you POTY eh.. Ok lol. Nani who shoulda won it, 10 goals - 18 assists or something like that. Wilshere had to win the Young Player award.

The FA are clearly going on reputation over talent this year, smh. Bale's a good player and all but if you base it on talent then Scott Parker should have won it. He's been the only outstanding player in a very poor West Ham team this season and if they stay up he will have done the work of Tevez and Mascherano a few seasons ago on his own.

Nani doesnt get the praise he should.. Been one of United's best players this season

Nani wouldn't have won it. How would the FA have looked if a man u player won it 5 seasons in a row?
