Colluding with other managers to try and besmirch the nearest title challengers unjustifiably

And reverting to school yard tantrums.

Nice one Alex, keep it up lad

A lot of contempt in this one.

Because I'm predictable in fairness.

I'm enjoying it. Pressures on now, Fergusons last chance to try and do the clean sweep this season I think, he'll be absolutely seething, which is great- the old enemy in the Champions League. If we can just get 3 points on Tuesday, its gonna get very sick.

by these gestures he is clearly indicating he thinks Moyes, and Everton, are 'beneath him' and by implication a 'small club'.. (backed up by the fact that he fielded a 'weakened' team)..

Although he isn't performing the gestures directly at Moyes, they may well be in Moyes' general direction.

I've looked at it several times, and he appears to be gesturing 'you are beneath me, your club is beneath me, here crawling on the ground, I stamp on you like a little worm'...

This is not only disrespectful, it is contemptuous beyond belief.. totally beyond the pale..

The Battle Hymn of the well-and-truly-rattled

Thine eyes have seen the glory, but what are you on about ?
Is it the same old story, now the grapes of wrath are out ?
I suppose I should ignore you, you raving drunken lout
But the truth is marching on.

“Beyond the pale” ? Well, you’re beneath the gutter
“Arrogance ? Contempt ?” That’s YOU, you senile nutter
Yes I know I should ignore all the bitter bile you utter
But the truth is marching on.

Are you so obsessed with our gaffer, are you really so irate
That you’re telling our Rafa how he can and can’t celebrate ?
And drag up quotes from ages past, and rope in your fat mate ?
In truth what are you on ?

Are you on the grapes of wrath again, or on the whisky grain ?
We see what it’s done to your nose, but what about your brain ?
It’s you who’s cracking up under the stresses and the strain,
While Rafa marches on.

Who made you the unlikely arbiter of all pitch-side decorum ?
Since when did Sam or Gollum ask you to speak out for ’em ?
When your verbal diarrhoea stinks out every public forum,
In truth what are you on ?

Are you building up your bonfires, ’cos you think we might be top ?
Are you so obsessed with Liverpol that you really cannot stop
Going on and on about us, whether playing us or not ?
Our day is marching on.

Do you think getting so rattled will really help your squad ?
Will they feel more embattled, or will they think it’s odd
That such a twat-face sits in judgement, thinking he’s a god ?
The truth ? What are you on ?

Are your fans watching their backs now ? They getting sore necks ?
Are they biting their nails ? Are they wetting their kecks ?
I thought you were used to these, the pressures of success ?
In truth, what are you on ?

Are they starting to suffer some seriously weird behaviour ?
As they wonder what if Macheda hadn’t been your saviour?
And what if your wobbly grip on reality gets wavier,
While Rafa marches on ?

Are the dark clouds gathering, and what does that say ?
Are you continually blathering on about yesterday ?
Are you continually worrying you’ve thrown it away ?
While Rafa marches on.

Is life now just survival, has it lost all its joy ?
Is your hope of revival a seventeen year-old boy ?
While you’re drinking, are you thinking of yet another ploy
To stop Rafa marching on ?

Has it never ever, for one minute, been your plan
To give a public impression that you’re a decent man,
As well as a good man manager ? But every neutral fan
Wonders what you’re on.

Is the taste of your food just a little bit less sweet
Have you got twitchy hands ? Have you got itchy feet
Since your purple nose caught the scent of defeat ?
Now what are they on ?

How dare a whingeing, bullying twat go on about "respect" ?
Well your deluded ranting has at least had some effect
It had me supporting Everton - not what you’d expect
But now they’re marching on.

Are yer dreams of quintuples in all kinds of trouble ?
Ah well never mind eh, it was still a nice little 'double'
All neutrals just want anyone to burst your bloody bubble
Anyone but you.

Is football less fun now ? Has it lost its thrill,
Now the Mighty Reds are coming on up that hill ?
Do you need to lie down ? ’COS YOU’RE MENTALLY ILL,
What pills are you on ?

Do your fans seem quiet, wondering what things forebode
Now that Billy Shankly’s boys are coming down the road ?
Well enjoy it while you can, you slimy, purple-faced toad
Our day is marching on.

Are you on the grapes of wrath again , slugging down the port ?
Are you getting as obsessed with us as most of your support ?
Please cease your senile ramblings and just retire from sport,
While Rafa marches on.

Our nineteenth may come this year, or the next, but you can feel
Our return to glory’s tangible, that’s why your fear’s so real
Let Rafa, born for Liverpool, crush the devil with his heel,
Our day is marching on.

He had a simple tap-in, if "what's-his-face* didn't clip him down.

Moyes said he thought it was a penalty from where he was sitting, but hadn't seen the replay. Him saying it was a 'clear penalty' isn't really the truth.

It could have gone either way really, thought it was a stone-wall pen but the contact was slight at best on the replay. Just one of those things innit.

Rio - 30

If you're running at full speed any contact will send you down. It happens to all players running @ speed.

And again, Welback had no reason to go down with an empty net infront of him.

It's a clear penalty, it was enough contact to send him to the floor and he had a open net to score, he could of got sent off as well

I'm not contesting the laws of physics.

However, even if it does prevent a goal-scoring opportunity, the strength of the challenge is usually summed-up by a ref in such as decision. Jagielka's was slight. I don't think Welbeck dived, but a ref could well think that if contact is minimal and he doesn't pick it up.

It was a goal-scoring opportunity, but he was at a right-angle to the goal, and Howard wasn't completely out of the picture when he went down.

Anyway, the reason why you lost is because you weren't clinical enough up-front from what I saw.

No send, but this is sort of crying over spilt milk; you had plenty of time after to create other chances. What's done is done.

Nah its too small to be deliberate, it was accidental, and I think Wellbeck clips his feet together of his own accord.

If you'd played Rooney and Ronaldo, maybe you'd have won. I'll take it as a compliment that even though you can drop 3 points and win the league (assuming we keep winning, it could be more that you could drop and still win it), your still resting players to ensure you complete the Premier League.

seen, I thought he was sort of still in the game-situation. My bad.

Nevertheless, there was plenty of minutes of played after, that's what I'm saying.

This penalty decision is masking the real reason why you lost, or rather why you drew after 120 minutes, because you weren't clinical enough.

Everton did sort of threaten, but if anyone was gonna win it you were

Hij
19th April '09, 09:21 PM
Everton never got it in the box enough, I didn't think they deserved to win- United pressed a lot more, but weren't cut throat.

I was gutted when Cahill missed because I just thoughy how typical for United to scrape through another game- they've hardly battered a team for ages.

I'm happy that the master of mind games came out this weekend to chat shit about our manager once again, even though we weren't playing and then duly got egg on his face. I'm pleased that all this talk about him doing the "Quintuple" (including a competition you have to play 2 games to win) is all finally over.

I'm celebrating that for all your wins recently, you've been very very fortunate to keep on picking up points when you have been absolutely dire.

You've won just the Carling Cup domestically this season, the very trophy you refer to as the "Mickey Mouse Cup" when we win it, stop talking like the rest are wrapped up, because they definately aren't.

Of course. That's very nice for you but we are a team that needs some finishing touches to move up to your level. Your the benchmark and have had a ridiculous advantage for years, we're slowly growing to catch you, you know it as well.

Let me post up the stats of Fergusons first 5 seasons- this is before he could spend 30m a season on one world class player to boost a world class squad. Anyone can do that.

1st - 86-87 finished 11th 30 pts behind the Champions.
2nd - 87-88 finished 2nd 9 pts behind the Champions.
3rd - 88-89 finished 11th 25 pts behind the Champions
4th - 89-90 finished 13th 31 points behind the Champions
5th- 90-91 finished 6th 24 pts behind the Champions.

This is Rafa's 5th season, how many points behind the Champions are we going to finish?
