Bare neeks are hopping on to the dubstep wagon these days, more time most of the people at college only like the music because other people do.

But on the level though what really got me into dubstep was when I first experienced it on a proper sound system where you could feel the base inna your chest

vast amount of ppl feeling dubstep limits that only to going raves. about as vast amount of them dont give two shits who made the tune, if its released or where do u even go to purchase it etc..

and theres barely any mention of rinse on grime albums, charting shit and jme myspace which is for the same vast amount of people the reason they claim they listen to grime

The types who only know about dubstep from limewire and purewaste, never locked into rinse or react, and have no clue about proper dubstep, only the bait stuff...

Tbh i only been to one dubstep rave, last dmz bday bash at mass, was a lot, but i'm well awear of new releases, artists, dubs etc...

I went off Dubstep early 07, just got back into it again after grime went swag.

There's alot more variation in dubstep. You've probably just heard the bait names like rusko, caspa etc

Try listening to tunes by Silkie, Martyn, TRG & Mala then say its all the same. Lots of people have their own style.

To be honest though, minimal Dubstep can be quite boring if you're not in the mood.

I'm exactly the opposite to that

Tracks that i ain't heard before coming on in a rave >>>>

I love hearing new dubs come on, especially one's from Benga with some sick wobble lol.

The chicks aren't saying a lot in most dubstep raves IMO, might just be because i'm too high to clock any of them, or maybe they don't like Dubstep.

I would never ever think of moving to a chick in a Dubstep rave though, i care too much about the music

Not sure about many tunes/mixtapes singally tbh.

But i can recommend some artists who i rate the most.

Antisocial and Digital Mystikz are a lot, make a variety or different stuff.

Stenchman
The Others
Cluekid
Macabre Unit (Grimier stuff)
Joker
6Blocc
Bar 9 (Dirtyer stuff, same with 6Blocc)
Cardopusher (Makes a variety)
Rob Sparx (Makes some filthy dub as well as DnB)
Benny Page (Disgusting)
Henny G (Minimal/relaxation dub)
Kode 9
Skream (Makes some bangers)
Rusko (Pure Filth)
Jakes (Grimey shit, same with Joker)
Clouds
Tes La Rok
Sukh Knight (Grimey Stuff)
16 Bit (Top selected IMO)
Chase & Status (Dubstep only tbh)

Probably missed out a load, but they're just off the top of my head.

Garybouba
1st February '09, 03:08 PM
Oh yeah, and Matty G, big west coast dub producer.

Borgore makes some filth, but can't find no releases from him smh.

Good thing to do is look around on Myspace for your own taste if you're trying to get into it.

Dubstep can vary from grimey deep bass and samples to relaxation dub, something to just chill to.

Big genre though, there's so many different types and sounds, you never get bored of it.

Going to a dubstep rave for gash is instant fail, you need to get to a good rave where vibes are good and its goons, geeks and neeks and everything in between vibesing, skanking and enjoying the music.

Can't judge a dubstep rave by the people that are in it either you'll see people you never expected to skanking their nuts off. The only ones I hate are the posers, like this asian kid I seen at FWD vs Rinse with his shirt off tensing to the beat with his mates round him worshiping his 6 pack them sorta cunts can fuck off. Screwfacing everyone as well, fuck that in a dubstep rave.

This.

You can look like the biggest neek, but go to a good rave, even if full of goons, you won't get moved to.

Going to Dubstep raves is about the music :D
