I have always wondered why English managers don’t generally move abroad but now I know why.

After watching our former England manager Steve McClaren trying to win over the Dutch public with his hilarious attempts at fitting in, it all became clear.

Despite the interviewer speaking in fluent English, good old Steve decided to try and ‘Dutch’ himself up a bit with a Martin Jol like vocal impression.

Why when talking to foreign people do people put on a foreign accent?

And people usually talk louder or practically shout like the other person is deaf or something.
