Looks pretty shit to me. 60k and no option of upgrading the capacity is stupid as well - I guess there are doubts about filling anything bigger than that. The one proposed a few years ago by their old owners looked infinitely better:

Liverpool fans think it looks shit too.

I'll be the first person to admit that a club like Liverpool deserves something better than a generic new build stadium. I was actually quite disappointed with how good this proposal looked:

I think that stadium was bigger and upgradable as well.

They wouldn't fill more than 60k...would look empty half of the time...I think the design is pretty nice tbh.

Top one reminds me of Wembley.

Second one will end up lookin out of date in 10 years time.

whatever they do they should keep one section untouched by corporates like the kop is.

It does and will have much better facilities.

Old Trafford is 102 years old though, so it isn't really what you want to be aiming for. This will be Liverpool's stadium for the next few decades and when you compare it to something like the Allianz, or the other proposal they had, it looks more like the Reebok stadium than either of those.

looks like the city of manchester, which is the best ground in the league imo

arsenal's is i think. it's great. lovely pitch too. they are both good though.

i like the old fashioned type grounds also, grounds like craven cottage, goodison, villa park and even anfield . proper football grounds.

Here's a forum dedicated to stadia currently under construction/proposed/completed: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=263

Some of them look absolutely fantastic. Liverpool's new one does not. It still looks nice of course, but juxtaposition is a bitch.

Arsenal's is the best for me too.

Archibald Leitch designed Goodison Park, Villa Park, Anfield, Craven Cottage, Stamford Bridge, Celtic Park, Ibrox, White Hart Lane, plus many others including Old Trafford.

These are just a few of the stadiums on the first page of the 'under construction' sub-forum on SkyscraperCity. All of them look much better than Liverpool's new stadium IMO.

I'd love to see Chelsea somehow incorporate the power station chimneys into their new stadium if they move to Battersea (even though it doesn't have anything to do with Chelsea, it would just look sick), but no designs have been released so far for Battersea.

I guess Spurs are going to end up building this, which was their plan before the Olympic Stadium fiasco:

Single tier end behind the goal is sick.

United are obviously planning something as well since they own all this land around the stadium:

Probably a fan village type thing if anything, although the only thing that's been confirmed is a supporters club thing which is being paid for by Gary Neville and not the club. The south stand is our smallest stand because they decided to have a railway just behind it. If we're to expand to 95k+ we'll need to build a tunnel (like below) plus buy all the land behind it.

What do you mean?

I meant that I thought that was a good looking stadium, so I was a bit pissed off that Liverpool were getting it.
