Due to the constant bickering on this forum regarding young talent from around the world this thread is to compile the best, most promising U23 year olds from around the world. Ill try to make a certified XI + subs if enough people post.

Cant think of an entire team atm as im sure ill forget people but ill drop some names that are doing it atm + those i think will go on to be great players to get the ball rolling. (obvious ones too)

Neymar
Balotelli
Sturridge
Welbeck?
Ayew
Thiago
Eriksen
Romeu
Bale
Jones
Rafael/Fabio (unproven atm)
Van Der Wiel

More Unproven
Ganso
Morrison
Chamberlain
Sterling

Obviously some players have greater talent than others but hopefully this will generate discussion.

Cant think of a GK... Hart came to mind but he's 24.

Wilshere too.

As in I forgot him, not that he's 24.

Last I heard (Novemberish) he was doing really well.

Think he got sent off against Madrid or someone since then.

Wikipedia:

He made his La Liga debut on 28 August 2011 against Osasuna in the 0-0 draw. Courtois started the season in impressive fashion and become first choice keeper over Sergio Asenjo, keeping four clean sheets in his first six La Liga games[11] against the likes of Osasuna,[12] Racing de Santander,[13] Sporting Gijon[14] and Sevilla.[15] On 26 November 2011, Courtois received his first red card of this professional career against Real Madrid, after a last man foul on Karim Benzema in a penalty area at the 22 minute mark, the Madrid derby ended as a 4-1 loss for Atlético.[16]

lol peak, he has a good reputation but i haven't been able to watch any spanish football this year

asenjo aswell  he was immense on one FM, last 3 years he hasn't got a game over kids, even kids that are just on loan (altho i know he's young himself)

Courtois is starting Goalie for Althletico infrom of Asenjo and has put in some decent preformances.

Can't not include a 22 year old with his appearance/goal record.

Nigel

Completly forgot Pato was so young, swear hes like a goal every other game guy?

Tbh, looking what others have put i missed out some sick players and would have too much choice to make 1 squad.

Vrsaijko plays for Dinamo Kiev. He's bossing it right now over there and is touted to be an elite fullback. Carlos Fierro is 17 and played well in the U17 World Cup for Mexico winning the Bronze Ball award. He's already made an appearance for the senior Mexico squad as well.

Premiership U23 Side:

GK Szczesny

RB Kyle Walker
CB Phil Jones
CB Chris Smalling
LB Fabio

RM Walcott
CM Ramsey
CM Wilshire
LM Bale

ST Sturridge
ST Welbeck

EDIT: Here's my team, i don't really watch enough world football to know who are the best u23s in other leagues so i stuck to the prem. Otherwise it'll be guess work and just based on fm/fifa ratings. Soo tempted to put Gibbs at lb.

Surely you can't be havin some 17 year old Mexican yout in the 16 best under 23s though? Especially when you got man like Pato, Thomas Muller and more on the scene.
Even Sturridge has more right to be in there.

Yeah I know there's more polished youngsters but it's just a list and I was stretched for names at the time. If I had to pick another striker, I'd pick Pato.
