18 months ago there were the "Rooney is on dis ting", "Rooney > Messi" threads.

Where are Van Persie's ones? Has he achieved less than Rooney?

And before people start spouting shit about me being gassed as an Arsenal read this quote from 2010:

As for Van Persie, he's not world class. Might have been if he'd stayed fit over the past 4 years.

I still stand by that.

Messi >>>>>>> RvP >> Rooney

RvP has better service too IMO, which says alot for Man Utd midfield

Eh?

I don't get what's wrong with what I said?

Arsenal's midfield is better than ours right now, lets be honest, so he gets better service, therefore has more chances.

no i agree with you. it's just the way you said it would have made more sense if rvp has worse service than rooney.

van persie best striker in the prem league right now. everyone already knows it no need to say anymore. whats the point of making a thread so some chelsea cunt come in talking about torres potential (50 mil lululu), or some prat in a city shirt can come pretend aguero gives a shit or some deluded joker talking about hernandez.

I think Van Persie is the better player, but Messiah asked if Rooney was more successful. And he is.

The main problem with this whole comparison is you can never really get Rooney and RVP on top form at the same time, or we never have seen it anyway. Rooney has alternately good months, and Robin is normally sick for half a year - 2011 is either a great fluke or finally the start of some consistency and him properly staking his place to be in the World Class band.

I think I would rather have Rooney in my team though, if you're asking for a "dream 11" and someone to partner Messi, I just think I would choose Rooney over RVP, although obviously if current form stays the same for both then it's Van Persie>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Rooney.

RvP - Downside - Injury Prone
Rooney - Downside - Very Form Reliant.

Rooney seems to be to be either piss poor and gets sent off, or fucking class and score some over head banger like he did against Man City.

But I never write him off, he can have a piss poor 89mins and then do something amazing and score a 1 man goal, that why Fergy lets him play alot of full matches.

Van Persie is skeng and we would be kinda lost without his goals there is no denying that but its obvious that are most important player right now is..

If he got injured it would be a #wrap, all you have to do is look at our backups :dead:

I guess personal achievements are only important if they synchronize with the teams' success.I guess we should stop comparing players by their personal achievements and focus on their ability to turn the game in their teams favor against all odds and i guess both have done fairly enough in this case.
