Another month passed in Grime and as people eagerly awaited the June 1st king of grime battle they were handed some of the best CD’s of the year. Frisco returned to drop Back to the Lab Volume 3, as ever a solid release from Frisco with big features from J2K, Black The Ripper, Bashy and Jammer. Silencer also hit us with his debut cd release with Run The CD. Ive been playing this non stop since I got it and has been the best instrumental CD release so far for me (debate all you like).

The team behind the legendary blog Butterz (www.butterz.co.uk) dropped an old school mix on Rinse.FM the other the day which was recorded and uploaded to the forum. It’s 80 minutes of awesome stuff, so I had to make sure the loyal podcasters got hold of it.

Take note everyone in Grime, this month has been the Newham Generals and Dirtee Stank show. Early in the month saw the release of Newham Generals – Head Get Mangled, shortly followed by the release of Dizzie Rascal – GHETTO. There was a strong radio presence from all of the Dirtee Stank team notably the Newham Generals Rinse show, the Generals again on DJ Cameo and then finally the Dirtee Stank Logan Takeover show on KISS.
