Awesome thread man liking the idea.

Personally I never have used but I heard the MPD24 is swag, and that the MPD26 shits all over it. I am not saying this is true, but this is what I have come to think. Please tell me if I am wrong.

I would recommend the M-Audio Keyrig 25 for a beginner keyboard, but if you can go for the 49 key, I wish I hadn't have made this mistake. I would also recommend the Behringer BCF2000, I know behringer is a shit make all in all, but this control surface >>> 100 quid b-stock, great for a midi mixer, has motorized faders.

It's a rom sample player with deep synth capabilities.

The XV 5080 and 3080 are better as they have more sounds/effects and editing features.

The JD 990 is the GOAT as its a JD800 in a rack and has superior filters and is the most analog sounding out of all the others, but has limited polyphony.

I'll let you in on a Proteus secret.

All Proteus racks are the same, just with different paint jobs and rom sets...they all have 4 slots for other rom boards so...

Pick up any Emu Proteus module and buy the cards you want separate and you will have a 2500 + exp boards.

I have a Emu Vintage Pro with Proteus 2000, Orchestral 1 & 2 and Mo Phat installed.
