Default Dubstep & Funky Article in the Guardian

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/musi...-funky-dubstep

    an interesting read

I went to Ruffage a few weeks back & they were mixing the garage, dubstep & funky up like it was nothing. It works really well imo

The problem for dubstep fans is that they generally dress like they're ready for a night cleaning the toilets of said clubs.
Made me LOL. Kinda true though, them student looking guys.

the amount of dubstep djs suddenely playing funky is ridiculous,
it works though, & there's more grime djs on funky than dubstep ones

95% of dubstep tunes would kill the vibe for me in a funky set, no hype.

Deffo, thats why there aren't really that many who do it & the ones that do tend to play the more syncopated dubstep stuff anyway. Doing it with wobble would be instant fail

basically everyone should mainly stick to themselves / a lil bit here and there is nothing

its pissed at the scene and how everyone is trying to rape it someway
i lol'd at dsf making a subsection for it quickly, but grime was always "other music"

It's a par how you guys complain about artists/musicians getting involved in the popular things. You're the same guys who are watching the latest kicks and fashion styles, the same guys trying the "new" burger at BK/McDs, the same guys watching the latest films.

lol @ the last few comments. its true, u aint really gonna get consistant nights where u got student types mixing with the street kids, the latter are always gonna develope the next coolest thing and stay a step ahead.

anyway i got a dubstep/funky tune on my myspace (shameless plug) called "serious" www.myspace.com/alekszen
