    Default Grime Sub Genres

Thought this would be an interesting one,

When I think of other genres (mainly drum and bass as thats personally what I grew up on), I could identify plenty of sub genres within there and what tracks would be in that sub genre but for grime I can only really think of eski beat and sublow, wouldnt be sure how to define everything else into specific sub genres.

What would people say are the different sub genres and tracks that you would sort into them??

is this a sub genre or just a song pattern though as 8 bar tracks can be very different in everything other than the pattern

Isn't it that it changes every 8 bars? Sounds like a sub genre to me but i could be wrong.

Eskibeat - whether your count it as Grime or Grime as Eskibeat there's a whole sound to Grime with Wileys influence

Pop Grime (oh yeah, Bizzle & Skepta just realease a new tune together)

Dark Grime - your Dot Rottens/Ice Kids who talk about that spiritual shit

Greaze Grime - shank shank shank

Drill Grime - Aj Traceys sound

YGG also bringing a new kind of sound, that bubbly sort of Grime but i dont know if i would classify that as a sub genre

You mean this sort of thing? That's the Tropical sound.

Sublow, eskibeat, sinogrime, r&g, 8 bar are all legit subgenres to a greater or lesser extent. Ruff Sound can carve out it's own niche too tbh.
