Just a few quick points about last night, I'd like to hear what everyone else thought of it in case I'm just being a negative dickhead.
On stage security ordering everyone off the stage - For me this ruined it. I couldn't get back into it after this happened, even with Ghetts hyping it up after.
Non-grime acts (Kojo Funds, Abra Cadabra, Steflondon) and back up dancers. Really? Why?
16+. Why. Just why. I genuinely see multiple girls there with their mums. WHY.
"Reload set" at the end last about 10 minutes. That's what everyone is there for, no one wants a concert, we want a rave.
What annoyed me is that they called this "Eskimo Dance". Don't get me wrong it was a fucking quality concert, but concerts aren't my thing and I would have been very reluctant to go had I known what it would be like. Eskimo Dance is a rave - Last night I didn't feel like I was at a rave at all.
Every MC smashed it, I want to make a point of that. I can't even name my favourite parts because everyone went in as expected. As I previously said, the non grime acts killed the vibe completely for me but I guess they need to cater for more than one genre when the audience is that sort of size.
To summarise, it should have stayed at Building 6 in my opinion. Big enough to bring a big crowd, but not so big that it feels commercialised. Plus Wembley brought a younger crowd - who really didn't get what was going on. Side By Side dropped and no one surrounding me gave a shit - it's a fucking classic mate I don't care who you are or what you say - it does a madness every time.
I feel like the majority of the audience thought it was just a Wiley concert with a few supporting acts, and that really affected my enjoyment of it. It's hard to lose it when Discarda comes out, if the girl stood next to you looks like she was listening to One Direction on the drive up.
Anyway, enough moaning, what did everyone else make of it?
The place went offf when dun talking and robbery were performed. >>>>>> real grime real street kids
And lol at side by side. No #grime fan has ever heard that song just like 99% of grimes output lol 🇬🇧

The set part at the end needed to be longer, maybe shorten the other bits and have them come back to spit at the end.
Citrus, did you see on that a girl got naked in the crowed saw it on Blay visions twitter/snap retweet.
Needed more grime acts/crews/collectives doing sets. Disappointed that Wiley didn't join in the set at the end really.
Most of these events I feel really old at. The only one I've been to that I didn't feel old was for Trim a few months ago.
I saw someone joining the queue with his son who must of been 14 (seats were 14plus i think) and the dad was trying to explain that it was a grime concert to his son.
Very few sets, mainly just doing their own songs.
Aj Tracy I liked.
Elf Kid, I don't like in general, kept getting the DJ to wheel it up with little crowd reaction. I've seen him a few times and thought it was his best performance i've seen tho.
Pres T and 9Milli major. They had more of a set feel and were good. Weren't doing entire songs, quick snippets of bits of songs.
P Money, Blacks and Little D were good, more of a set feel as well, but was still mainly song, but did have a few bits more like a set.
Solo 45. Good crowd reaction but he wasn't performing his songs rally. Pretty much acted as a hype man to his two songs. Five and Feed em to the Lions. Pretty poor I thought doing that. He just let the crowd do it whilst getting hyped on stage. I've seen him before and this was his worst performance. Too much getting gassed and no performance of the song.
Fekky. Same as Solo. Good reaction but he mainly acted as a hype man to his songs.
Disappointed by both, even if the crowd reaction was decent to them.
Kojo Funds... I don't think he should of been at Eskimo Dance, i thought it doesn't fit in. I did find out he does a song i heard, that i didn't know the song name or artist, so that was a plus. not much of a crowd reaction compared to others.
Adbra Kadabra, I don't think the crowd reaction was great, only for his big song, that I can't remember the name of.
Steph London... Backing dancers. Really. doesn't fit in with Eskimo Dance. These 3, shouldn't of been there. Adbra Kadabra was the best of those three. But they had to clear the stage after him for the security.
The ending was really good I thought.
Chipmunk, Ghetts. Chipmunk did some of his wardub songs - reloads, decent reaction to him. Ghetts the same, decent reaction. Both did their One Takes.
Wiley, mainly did snippets of some of his songs. Massive Wiley fan, so I liked it. Discarda and Scratchy with him.
you'd expect from Eskimo Dance.
Discarda, Grim Sickers, Mighty Moe, Funky D, Flowdan, Uncle men (his Durag... kinda looked like a condom on his head), C Cane, Big Shizz and Jammer. Can't think if there were any others.
It was a good show, but needs less songs and more sets. Some of those that were earlier in the show, maybe should have been used at the end in the set. Solo and Fekky got the reaction, but I'd like to actually hear them do the songs, not just one two words then jumps around on a hype hyping the crowd.
I'd go again for the bits I did like. Aj Tracey, P Money/Ogz, Pres T and Major. Ghetts, Wiley, Chipmunk, Jammer. and the end set.
I would of liked Flirta D and /Big Zuu/Tizzy gang/Slew Dem, and others, but you can't get everyone.
If they wanted a female act, there are more grime ones than Steph London... Lady Leshur, No lay

Notice how Jammer stopped releasing a new LOTM every year? He killed the brand by putting out shit CDs with shit MCs on and it stopped making money. He made a quick cash grab but there'd have been more money in it if he'd thought long term and kept the brand strong with quality releases.
I summarised what happened in the other thread but I'm going to share my opinion in this one later.
One word summary: commercialised.

Agree with most of this but ghetts did save it for me aj-devlin was amazing, p money and prez on point then a big gap of average, fekky was alright cause the crowd was really into him but after that nothing really till ghetts then everyone after
Thought abra was alright, only heard him on round here remix but he was too quiet
