Gassed for this as it has been 7 years since Fallout 3.
Bobbleheads are back!

At least they show you real in-game footage unlike most trailers these days which is all CGI. Looks amazing and then you sit down to play it and it looks like some old PS1 game

Hyped for this. I enjoyed Fallout 3, but New Vegas was something else for me. The DLC Blood Money (the Sierra Madre casino thing) was some of the best gameplay I've experienced; I absolutely loved how difficult it was, especially on hardcore mode, starting with no equipment and having to scavenge for supplies, along with your HP slowly decaying.

With a game as large as fallout I wouldn't expect the graphics to be top of the line tbh.

why not? look at witcher 3, a huge open world game with great graphics. the skyrim graphics were amazing at the time so i dont see why it should be any different for fallout

Clocked up just over 12 hours already! It brilliant and I forgot how much I just love wandering with my dog.
Hardly completed anything yet and now on route to diamond city. Been mullered a few times by the wildlife and discovered some great little nooks and crannys. Tons and tons of stuff to scavenge and should be quick to build up caps by sensible trading. I like the whole building a town premise but it will be very time consuming I suspect.
So far the gameplay has been very positive although I do find it a little tricker to kill anything in FPS mode. May be due to having inferior weapons at the moment. I tend to build up lock picking and hacking skills rather than combat as I prefer to roam and explore, but I think there will be a far greater action element in this version. The deathclaws seem super hard and are very fast. Big guns at the ready and be prepared to run like a big girls blouse quite a bit. I got taken out a few times by ghouls also as they are fast as well.
I love the new colour scheme with this game. It's not as bleak and depressing as others but there is a real feel of desolation as you wander. Already noticing far more interaction with other survivors so that breaks up the sense of loneliness.
So far it's all good. 12 hours down, only 250 to go...

Not had any frame rate issues on the Xbox but agree that the graphics aren't a dynamic leap ahead. They are certainly better than F3 and the draw distances are far superior but not groundbreaking. Saying that, the game play is massive and there is clearly a lot more going on now also.
Spent most of the day building up my town. Fenced it all off and added water, power and a farm. Completely self sufficient and easy to defend. There is a real sense of satisfaction when the evening comes and the lights come on powered by your own wind farm.
A few missions completed and a ton of exploring, Took out about 50 raiders in a huge industrial building. No idea where they leads in the story but it must be a major mission. Should be a hell of a lot easier at some point when I get to it. Just hope that like F3, there are no respawning issues.
Still loving this game very much indeed.

I'm really enjoying it but i have a few gripes, the biggest being the dialogue system change to adopt the bioware wheel type system with just 4 options and then a brief line not actually what you will say word for word - I liked to know word for word what i'd say.
It's still engrossing, a huge time sink and a great world to explore

Ive put around 40 hours into it and i still feel like ive only scratched the surface.
Love the building aspect of the game, and its quite easy to figure out.
If you want loads of money just purify water and sell it to vendors. I have about 20k in the bank.

I am around 60hrs in, I think it's good, but it hasn't gripped me in the same way as fallout 3 or NV, I had many profiles of 150+hrs on both of those, TBH I already am bored of FO4 a shame, was buzzin waiting for it.
