Sturridge could be a problem but can't see him performing as well with only Coutinho as the only other really bright spark.

Ofc the stats are bad if he's not 100% fit. He's had Abou Diaby type of injuries just coming on and off.

Sturridge carried Bolton, he bossed there, he's not a talent that only shines with only good players around him, people mock when I say I prefer Sturridge to the guys that Madrid have up top in Higuain & Benzema, but, it's so true that he's better than them imo & the reason why I say that is he brings dynamism & it's rare...

When Di Matteo decided to drop Sturridge the lack of dynamism in our attack was night & day, when he'd come on for us again, he adds that instant electricity, players like Higuain & Benny don't have that...
Liverpool fans would have seen it this season when they were stale against United & then Sturridge came on & changed the game, he was Man of the match for them against City & then again we saw it against Chelsea.

The only thing I would want Liverpool fans & Rodgers to understand is, Sturridge is not just a finesse flair player or just a dribbler or just someone who adds pace, he also has that fox-in-the box thing.. So when it's one of those days where his touch might be loose & things aren't going so good, he has that sniffer fox-in-the-box goalscorer ability in his locker...

So imo he shouldn't be taken off...

Shit comparison but he's more of a Messi or Villa sort of forward than your traditional forward in that he cuts in from the wings, takes players on and generally roams more.

    Fair comparison?>

So far in this thread we've got Sturridge being better than Madrid's forwards and comparisons with Messi or Villa. Anyone else?
