Hailing from Nottingham, Elreezy and Blenda make up the BeatGeeks, a production powerhouse currently setting the bar amongst urban music producers in the Midlands. After learning their trade at the infamous Out da Ville Studios in Nottingham, the young producers joined a group called Lyrics, Rhymes & Grime (LRG), a musical group of producers, MCs and DJ’s created by prolific Nottingham Grime MC, Wariko. After LRG split up, Blenda and Elreezy decided to focus on their career as producers which led to them forming BeatGeeks. Alongside Wariko, BeatGeeks are currently focused on making a wide range of UKG music from Grime, UK Funky and other urban sounds for the UK scene. Their production ‘Nightmare’ was selected by Hyperfrank.co.uk for Dot Rotten to vocal in the first edition of Volume Control. The track, now titled ‘Thunder’, has received plays by DJs including Mistajam, Semtex and Logan Sama, and has almost 10,000 youtube views in under 7 days.
Zdot is a producer from West London who since starting out on the grime scene in 2006 has jumped from strength to strength, culminating in a nomination for “best producer” at this year’s Official Mixtape Awards. First bursting onto the mixtape circuit with production on MC Vader’s mix cd, Zdot built on good feedback from his showreels and downloads, enabling him to compile various releases including six free downloads (Sounds Of Zdot Volumes 1 & 2, The Go Getterish Preview, Route To Success Volumes 1 & 2 and The New Wave) Alongside production collective The Elite, Zdot has worked with some of the Grime scene’s highest rated MCs including Wiley, Ghetts, Devlin, Griminal, as well as US stars Juelz Santana and Nelly Furtado.
Nottingham MC Wariko burst onto the UK music scene alongside NG cartel back in 2004 and hasn’t looked back since. Inspired by his everyday surroundings and life growing up in Nottingham, where Grime isn’t as popular perhaps as it is in London, Wariko is planning to release his debut album “Natural Born Poet” in 2011. To date he has independently released 3 mix CD’s – I Ain’t Lyin, Lost Folders & Double Time Poet – all of which gained credible feedback for their witty wordplay and thought provoking lyricism. As well as his own releases Wariko has featured on tracks for the likes of DJ Magic, S-X, OGs, Ny, The Hip Hop Village and even gained a spot on Ms Dynamite’s “A Little Darker” CD, something which led the MC to star alongside Dynamite and Akala on tour in 2006. In 2008 Wariko teamed up with critically acclaimed producer Baby J as well as Roll Deep’s J2K to remix the single “Wake Up” and in 2010 he featured on Risky Roadz’ “Mic Fight” event alongside various other Grime MCs and rappers.

Wariko is with ease a Top 3 lyricist. . . 2011 is set to be a very exciting for the Nottingham native. With an album release due and a portfolio of collaborations with Ms Dynamite, Wretch 32 & Bashy it is surely only a matter or time before the masses will acknowledge his might.
