Where did you expect to finish at the start of the season?

I was expecting top 4 with a good run in one of the major cups tbh (that doesn't include the Carling Cup).

Player of the season?

A tie between Wilshere and RvP imo. Jack has been superb in his first breakthrough season, I was worried he would get bullied out of games due to his size but his dedication and tenacity is unrivalled in our midfield. We went on a horrific end of season run and without Persie's 18 in 18 or whatever it was we would have been a lot worse off.

worst player of the season?

Almunia or Squillaci - I don't want to see either playing for us again. Ever.

best/worst signing of the season?

Worst signing easily Squillaci. The best would have to be getting Vic Akers the kit man to renew his contract (the laundry has never been fresher)... or Crazy Jens just for the reception he got at Blackpool.

ambitions for next season?

WIN A TROPHY.

Player of the season?

Nani, Giggs or VDS. I would prefer Nani as he was my first thought. I think Nani has been excellent this season and has finally come out of Ronaldo's shadow. This season he has been a key player to our success.

He needs to learn how to take corners though.

Worst player of the season?

1. Carrick - The FA cup semi-final.
2. Evra - I think he's been good going forward, but has been terrible defending. Way too rash this season, I actually fear for us when a good team and when he plays.

Best/Worst signing of the season?

Best: Hernandez
Worst: We don't have any? If I had to choose one, I guess it would be Lindegaard? He hasn't really played though...

Ambitions for next season?

The Treble or Double.

My Team

Arsenal.

Where did you expect to finish at the start of the season?

I was expecting top 3, with Arsenal being in the hunt for the title till February/March (I thought Chelsea would merk the league this year). I thought we'd get a good run in the FA Cup this year too.

Player of the season?

It's close between Wilshere and Robin van Persie but I think can Persie nicks it. Wilshere has been outstanding this this season, the game against Barca showed what Arsenal fans had been watching all season. He's one of the few players that the fans know is dedicated to the club and would happily throw himself about to get a result. I feel that every club should have 3/4 players like this. Arsenal haven't really had anyone like that for a while, so for that reason I feel were a bit too overexcited about Wilshere's 'tenacity'.

van Persie has been outstanding. I'm one of many fans who believe that he would be regarded as a world class player if he hasn't spent half of the last 4 years injured. If he stays fit and stays at the club he will be talked about in the manner Bergkamp, Wright and Henry are when he leaves. When fit he always delivers for the team and again he's another player fans feel genuinely cares for the club. van Persie's scoring record since January speaks for itself.

Worst player of the season?

A lot of people would mention Squillaci or Almunia, but I expected them to be crap. I'd give my nomination to Gael Clichy because he has been well below the standard expected of him and of that he was producing 2 seasons ago when I would have happily claimed he rivalled Evra.

best/worst signing of the season?
According to Wenger, van Persie coming back from injury is like a new signing so it would be him according to that criteria.

However the world most of us live in when in comes to transfers, the worst signing would be comfortably Squillaci. The best signing are a tie between Chamakh and Koscielny as they were both decent for half the season. Chamakh offers us something different and with some bullying to shoot more and a rest, he'll be back next season and will perform better than Bentdner if the Dane stays. Koscielny's season can be summed up by the League Cup final and 1st leg against Barcelona. He'll be fine when partnered with a older wiser defender like Vermalaen.

Ambitions for next season?

Invest in ready made players. I don't care if Wenger spends 13 million each on three 25 year olds and two flops. The resale value of the three players will still be about 30 million when the one player who has had a great season rises in value to £20 million.

Either train train Song to go no further than the centre circle, or buy Jon Obi Mikel from Chelsea - in addition to buying back up for Song.

Get a defensive coach to train the team how to defend set pieces. We don't concede tons of goals in open play because we keep the ball for 65% of the match Mr. Wenger - not because we can defend well.

Winning a trophy goes without saying.

tbh top 3, didn't think we'd walk it as suggested and have been complaining about our lack of ideas in midfield since the middle of last year, wasn't expecting that dramatic a slump in form though

terry, was the only player in our "bad moment" that pushed on in games, has played consistently well in defence all year (ivanovic a close second)

worst player of the season?

zhirkov or bosingwa

best/worst signing of the season?

luiz injected us with something fresh and scored key goals, also allowed ivanovic to move back out-wide, without him we probably would've finished 3rd/4th

ambitions for next season?

challenge in the league and not to go out of europe with such a whimper

Tough one. Probably Nani though he's tailed off a bit in the last few weeks.

As in a player who's actually played quite a few games? Gibson.

Anyone saying Carrick hasn't been watching us for the past 4 months. He was by far our best player yesterday, which sums up his form. I've been critical of him a lot, but when he's on form he's a fantastic player.

Hernandez is the best.

Evans and Bebe, really wanted Bebe to be something but from when O'Shea and others are making better crosses he should llow it. Dunno what's going on with Evans this season, I still have hope for him but some of the mistakes he's made this season have been abysmal.

Best/Worst signing of the season:

Hernandez is the best signing this season. 20 goals in the first season, SNM.

Bebe has been shocking

Ambitions for next season:

Actually fix finances somehow and bring in some fresh midfield talent.
We dont have a complete striker imo. One who can create and finish, like Suarez. What Berbatov can do when playing to his full potential.

Top four finish, although there was always the 'we can win the league and get our first trophy' shit in my mind.

Player of the season?

To be totally honest I don't think anybody in the squad deserve this title, apart from Wilshere. I would like to say RVP but Wilshere has played a bigger part throughout the season, only due to RVP being injured.

Worst player of the season?

I'd have to go with Koscielny or Arshavin. Squillaci/Almunia and the rest of the gang are obviously the shit players in our team, but none of these guys had the run of games that Koscileny and Arshavin have had.

Koscielny cost us the Carling Cup game, which possibly lost us everything else to come after it, and has never really shown in the back four, Djourou has been the more stable of the two. Don't get me wrong, he's got potential, and he has played good games, but his mistakes have cost us so much this season.

Arshavin just hasn't lived up to his potential this season so he's been a big disappointment for me, his stats may suggest otherwise but whenever I've watched him play, he's lazy, when he loses the ball he carry's on running and forgets that HE needs to get the ball back before somebody else try's. He's to greedy for my liking aswell, could have done so much better tbh.

Best/Worst signing of the season?

Best: I'd have to say Chamakh, he gave us a great start to the season, god knows where we'd be right now if he hadn't have bagged the goals he got during the first half of this season

. He's got good attitude and he tries, even though he has fallen off.

Worst: Lol Squillaci. His brain must look like his face, let's leave it at that.

Ambitions for next season?

I'm not even asking for a trophy next year, I'd happily take any trophy, but at the moment I'd just like to see Wenger show he's got sense, buy the players that are needed and maintain a real title challenge, aswell as progressing in the Cup tournaments. We were very unlucky to draw Barcelona in the CL this season, I'm confident we can do a lot better next season.

Cody McDonald, scored about 25 goals in 40 matches.
would have been Matt Lawrence, very solid, shame he had a few fuck ups near the end of the season

worst player of the season?

Probably our right back Barry Fuller, not great defensively or getting forward but all we've had tbh, shame he has another year on his contract or he'd be gone already
apparently he had a bit of trouble swearing at fans & stuff aswell

best/worst signing of the season?

Cody McDonald on loan, hopefully we sign him permanently
Nobody was that bad tbh, was probably Tony Sinclair tho, you could tell he was non-league

ambitions for next season?

Challenge for the title/go up thru the playoffs (love the trip to Wembley)
Go to more games, only went to about 5 this season..had a season ticket a couple of seasons ago...
