Here’s a quickie but a goodie.

Big news on the Call of Duty front today; Activision’s sent over a set of dog tags (below) with a link to the website findmakarov.com. The bloody tags also included the message “end the war” along with the details of Sheperd, one of the villains from 2009′s Modern Warfare 2.

What’s on the website you ask? A countdown, currently sitting at just under 5 days. A quick flash of the Modern Warfare 2 villain appears when you load up the page. You may well remember that Makarov made it all the way through the last game. Guess that’s a Modern Warfare 3 reveal next week then.

hopefully its better than black ops. dont even play it anymore the worst cod imo.

COD4 >>> BO >>> WaW >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> MW2

The bandwagon against Treyarch is pretty pointless as BO is just a better version of the mess that MW2 was and has sold more that any other COD that Infinity Ward has put out.

The next COD is rumored to be made but IW and Sledgehammer games according to N4G. Clearly that thing last year where people were walking out of IW left right and center has fucked up the progress of the rumored MW3.

Anyway a skill based game like Battlefield >>>>>>> Run and gun like a headless chicken COD

The tactical elements of BC2 >>>> COD. But when you break it down to its core, you, looking through the eyes of the player your playing (i.e. FPS) call of duty tops the charts for what it is. BC2 or any battlefield for that matter bringing other elements which no longer make it just a FPS and therefore can be compared but not in the same way as say MOH and Cod can be.

i think he means that because you have to think about what your doing in battlefield, it shouldnt be compared to cod because cod is mindless

battlefield has more in common with the original multiplayer fps games (its actually battlefields original format). cod has dumbed down the genre for the masses

i disagree though tbh, i think they can be compared

Spot on, I also disagree though. Although yes they can be compared, its like comparing chess to battleships. Battlefield is all about technical strategy (if played how developers intended imo) and cod is mostly about guesswork, blind luck and a fast set of fingers. They are targeted at two completely different audiences. Although cod holds a 15-18 certificate, it is completely aimed at the adolescents whereas i would say battlefield is the thinking mans fps. Saying this, I do enjoy both games, but in different ways.

no question about that tbh, black ops is terrible.

i got to 10th prestige legit i used to bang it out every day hour upon hour all nighters n everything.

all they needed to sort out was the noob tubing, overpowered ump45 and the quick scoping which basically allowed people to run around like snipers and kill guys shotting at them from close range with machine guns and shit
