Strong in the challenge, chased lost causes- twice getting there and winning the ball, kept possession of the ball in difficult positions and looked lively moving around the pitch.

Do you watch the match or just watch match of the day? Or did you judge him based on 90 minutes of football against Manchester City? Daspecimen will agree that he did all of those things above and we rarely see eye to eye and he supports the same club as you.

I'm coming to the conclusion that formations themselves mean fuck all, but its how the team is set up and how it performs. Hodgson is culpable for the first one, Gerrard etc are at fault for the second, they were woeful against City.

Also Hij/Kip what are your thoughts on Torres? Is it better to leave him out until he looks a bit sharper? Will he get sharper?
