The future of England's National team
So yesterday we got whupped by Ze Germans. A lot of there players are quite young, like Ozil, Muller, Boateng, Khedira, Schweinsteiger.
The future looks bright for them,
But what about England ?
A lot of the current squad won't be at the next world cup.
Is the future bleak for English football ?

I reckon they'll still go with Gerrard and that for Euro 2012 but reckon they could get the the QF's/Semi's of WC 2014

Joe Hart is definitely our number 1 for the future. We have the likes of Wilshere, Delph, Gosling, Lansbury, Delfouneso coming through, guess it's not that bad but are they world beaters ?
Dunno about Agbonlahor, Ashley Young, Micah Richards tho, if they were good enough why didnt they make this WC ?

The clubs have responsibility too.
Developing all these kids from France and Spain so they can qualify as homegrown but then go and play for their birth countries and par the English kids out of the academy so they can play for Scunthorpe and Yeovil.

If you compare their positions to those of the England squads, there's not many, if any the same/similar ages playing. Same reason why I think they didn't take Walcott imo, he played well in the Champions League and there was a lot of pressure on him there, but give them another 4 years of experience and I reckon they'll be ready tbh.
Rooney's like the third youngest player that got taken to the WC and he's 24. Joe Hart and Lennon's 23 but obviously they're exceptions.
I think they'll make it into the squad in due time IMO, probably at the next WC.

Rodwell, Wilshire and Hart offer something. Rodwell looks genuinely top drawer, hope he doesn't end up playing at centre-back just because he's 'big'. Hopefully Jonjo Shelvey comes on at Liverpool, I have faith in Hodgson if he takes that job.
Richards is a typical English footballer - explosive but ultimately can't play football that well. Same for Agbonlahor. Can't see too much changing to be honest as there's not huge amounts of talent out there. Realistically, what we saw with Germany is a team good on the counter (as England) but also a team comfortable on the ball (unlike England).

Don't think Moyes will play Rodwell at centre-back, not with talk of Pienaar moving on.
