No but Apogee converters, 8 Core Mac, 24 bit 96 Khz throughout, Mackie D8b, KRKs V8, Neumann mics and the ears of a very experienced engineer/mixer who worked with Bizzle, Akala and Sir Paul McCartney.

Or would you like an SSL 9000 for £20 p/h ???

Would've preferred just about any Analog desk and decent outboard over a D8B and plugins.

I've got better gear in my bedroom tbf.

I can see that you love to post in this forum. That's great. My point is that it is not the gear that matters, although I have top of the range equipment in my studio, but the person who mixes tbf. Have you got that in your bedroom studio as well? Last week my mix was no 16 in the Musicweek Urban Charts. At the end of the day this post is for people that don't have access into a studio and they are looking for a good deal with a decent engineer and a vocal booth that can make them shine. Carry on with what you are doing and I wish you all the best.

Yes i've had records in many charts at higher positions (including musicweek).

Yes I mix myself or send stems around the world for touch ups by known engineers (if needed).

My point was your studio is not really offering much different from what allot of people can do at home.

If your set up had some decent gear it would be more tempting.

You just offering a computer and plugins??

    U47's are nice though.

That's great. But you must know then that not all the people have 25k investment to have a studio like the one I am offering. It is great that you have it in your bedroom. I also know another guy that has Prottols HD and an SSL in his bedroom.

For those who don't have all that and they care for putting something decent down they have two options. Either befriend a guy like you and have to consider your opinion or pay and get a professional service.

I offer the second one. But boy, for having all this gear in your bedroom you must have a rich uncle.

I have to work to maintain the studio. Sorry.

But thanks for the advice. I was always considering to change the D8B with an SSL AWS 900

Retro you came and parred this guys hustle. Having loads of good equipment is one thing but knowing how to mix right is another (Not saying you can't mix) but it's like your patronising him because he ain't levelling your standards.

    lol

I'm sure the main thing is the skills of the engineer, you can have all the equipment in the world but you need the expertise to get the most out of it.

    Not even that fam.

Just made an honest observation of the poor equipment spec list.

"It is one of the best independent London recording studios and music production houses".

With no proper, compressors, EQ's or mixing console??

If your gonna pay to use a commercial studio, there must be something unique about the experience that you cant do yourself.

Good kit can help you get to the sound quicker as your not spending hours fafing with plugins trying to emulate hardware.

Many times you need an extra pair of ears to be objective to the work you are doing. There is a lot of experience to be gained working together with professionals. Talking of profession and since you have not posted any details about who you are or what you do, judging on the time you are posting, you just came back from work. Why don't you tell me what you do for a living?

Trust me. I have been working in many studios and my previous studio it was all analogue. A headache to patch everything up, every session would be longer (therefore more expensive), you had to keep notes for everything and the recall of a session was very difficult. When you saying that with good gear you get good sound quicker it sounds to me that you are an amateur. You have no details on your profile. Maybe you are some 15 years old kid having a kick out of this

    Analog hybrid.

Show me one plugin in your arsenal that sounds as good as a real Pultec or Tubetech comp or EQ for drums and bass??

Your D8B is glorified controller even a 1640i or Zed r16 wipes the floor with it at a fraction of the cost.
