don't know why him in particular, but whenever i watch the ryan leslie videos i always want to go make a beat.

yeah i know what you mean. its just his attitude to it. the fact he kinda sits down and just makes the whole thing (obviously its edited to look that way but you know what i mean)
also i think its because his stuff is quite simple (in terms of chords/notes etc), it makes you think you can do it.
i think every beatmaker ive ever met (any genre) references ryan leslie when they talk about getting inspired to make tunes.
