It seems like every other genre of music is allowed to be expansive, experiemental & use other genres for insperation except grime!
808 kits and phased ossilators are fresh? and that snare roll at the end of every 4 bars liek weasel said? their stale!!!
fed up of grindin = rikk ross - hustling... FACT
lol hoe can u tell ppl 2 stop listenin 2 crunk n hip hop
dere makin beats init...if u dont wanna spit ova dem...den dont
EVERYBODY KNOWS DAT GRIME WAS INFLUENCED BY HIP HOP FROM EARLY...dats y it used 2 get sub titled
grime changes n makes movements...doesn't just stay the same
u feel me
its not at all ridiculous, techno and grime are the same tempo, techno was there first, and the thing that makes techno stand out is the kick on every beat or/and the snare on every 2nd beat.. so..
Scooter is ur time cuzzy
Not at all
look at drum and bass for example, it was a fusion of hip-hop breaks and ragga. but if u listen to it, the drum patterns are alot faster and well very different lol, the construction and sounds arent even rap. totally unrecognisable from the original source.
where are ppl in grime are taking the exact same beats and patterns and calling it grime.
ide never say never experiment, but ide say that u have to keep the music identity, and make something different from it.
making shitty hip hop beats is not really been experimental.
Especially when grime started of as very experimental in the first place, infact over time its become less experimental, so theres the problem.
If I wanna listen to crunk id rather listen to americans than some wannabe americans.
The fact is the Garage element made Grime different from Hip Hop.
Without Garage ,Grime is just our version of Hip Hop imo.
