No, because it sets the precedent for the European Super League and I'm not really behind that idea. It would be interesting to see them go in at League 2 level though.

I say bring them in.
No it wouldn't. It may arguably set precedence for a British national league but given the nature of the relationshiop between the countries of the British Isles and the fact that Cardiff City and Swansea have already set precedent by virtue of them being Welsh clubs - I don't think it'll be that big a deal.
Even Rangers are talking about it in a positive light... Click here
Wouldn't mind tbh, would probably leave Scottish football in a bad way tho.
Don't really, was just a thought that popped into my head.
Difference is Cardiff and Swansea have been part of the English leagues for years and there's other clubs from Europe who play in 'foreign' leagues. But two (shit, but huge in terms of fanbase) teams up and leaving a league in this day and age would set a precedent IMO.
Do Belgium and Holland have the same relationship as England and Scotland? Even and FC Anderlehct fan would admit there is a difference between Celtic and Rangers moving to the English league and them moving to the Dutch league.
The historical arguement is moot. If the Old Firm joined today, you could say the same thing 50 years from now.
England and Scotland are two distinct international sides. If we say that as they're British (though I'm sure Celtic's fanbase would argue against that) they can move leagues how long is it before the argument surfaces that there should be free movement of football teams in Europe to create a Super League?
Would they add anything to the league? Not really, maybe more money through TV rights (which I'm sure is what will decide it). Will them leaving the SPL be the nail in Scottish football's coffin? Probably.
i don't know, it'd be weird, i can't imagine myslf associating the clubs with the English game but i spose it'd change with time
away games to Southampton in a couple years would be a par

They'd get duppied anyway. Celtic can't chuck it to teams like Villa, Everton let alone Spurs, Man City all fighting for european places.
Nah i don`t want em here. Anyhow, it wouldn`t be fair on teams trying to get in the Prem from The Championship. If they were to come here they should start at the bottom n earn their way to the Prem. But that won`t happen. So they should stay in the SPL. It`s up to the other Scottish teams to step their game up to make that league a lot more competitive ya get me.
dear God no. fuck that
they would become massive clubs with the premiership revenue streams
The Myth
.
With a 5 year plan they'd sweep League two up to the Championship sharing all the league titles between them. Easily esablish themselves in the Premiership and be able to buy much better quality players than they have already. Give them a few years to build their teams and they'd be fighting with the top 7/8 sides comfortably.
They'd definitely make the Premiership more competitive.
Money doesn't guarantee success. Although it does go a long way to securing it lol
aiir. bun them scottish teams prems fine as it is and they wont add anything more than the top 8 teams already do.
