Official Club Statement - Eduardo and Uefa
The Club is in receipt of Uefas reasoned decision in relation to the charge against Eduardo.
We strongly believe that the decision taken is deeply flawed and not based on any forensic review of the video evidence available.
There are obvious errors and inconsistencies in Uefas judgment and we intend to appeal.

This isn't new news. Anyone who watched the game will have noticed it. There's also secondary contact as Eduardo is falling. I noticed it but the ITV commentators decided to ignore it. I'm sure they would have made efforts to look for contact and point it out if it was a Liverpool game and Gerrard was playing.
I agree.
However seeing as it's okay for Rooney and Gerrard to make "acceptable" dives - I expect everyone to come out and say that it's okay now.
Wait... Am I missing something?
If you can make the keeper touch you, its part of the game.
If he doesn't touch you its a dive.
Gerrard has gone down a couple of times without contact, and actually had his appeals laughed off at no benefit. He generally goes down with contact.
Fact is you got a penalty and won the fucking game so why are you bringing liverpool into it. Take your horseshit to Uefa as that's where it needs to go. I sympathise with it being played bare on sky news but gerrard hasn't come out in the days since the incident to say he was an honest player so allow it.
Eduardo is a fucking angel with the commentators since his leg break but he cheated, why would you want the commentators to spot the minimal amount of contact to defend the idiot?
And stop throwing shit, look for the Viera vs Hamamn dive from a couple years back.
More should be done to stop players like Rooney punting it into a position whereby they would never have got the ball back anyway and then going over.
If Eduardo didnt dive, what did he do? There was contact but not by any fault of the keeper! Eduardo let his leg touch him then fall to the floor as if he had been shot...
Who is Keyser Soze? He is supposed to be Turkish. Some say his father was German. Nobody believed he was real. Nobody ever saw him or knew anybody that ever worked directly for him, but to hear Kobayashi tell it, anybody could have worked for Soze. You never knew. That was his power. The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist. And like that, poof. He's gone.
Tetchy.
I'm only using Gerrard as an example as he is English and is known for going down a bit too easily on occasion - not because he's scouse. If it makes you feel better read my post again and substitute Owen for Gerrard.
Oh yeah. I'm not particularly interested in this incident though. I'm just on a crusade to show how hypocritical we all are.
Eduardo is bradned a "cheat" now and forever for only diving once (to our common knowledge) yet Rooney is an honest player? Bollocks.
Fair enough. I was hungover this morning I was in a bad mood lol
i'm no hypocrite. ill call any player a cheat if they dive. it's a fucking cancer on our game and i fucking hate it. it just happens that eduardo was involved in the first major incident after 7 weeks without football. of course it's going to be a talking point. and it happened to be against the team that the guy who tried to bring in retrospective bookings for diving supports. unlucky for him. hopefully uefa will realise that they have to now be consistent and ban everyone who dives in the champions league and europa league (AFAIK they dont have jurisdiction to punish players in domestic leagues)
the actions of eboue on saturday didnt do anything to help arsenals reputation
I even phoned up talksport to have a go when zokora dived against pompey.

Player was sent off,
rightly so.

McGeadys wasn't that bad, he stacks it.
I wanna watch a replay of his one against Arsenal and see where the ball ended up.
LMAO!!! The ball goes off for either a corner or a throw in. 47 Seconds in.... don't watch the challenge, watch where the ball goes.

That's as bad as diving, because the penalty should be given for preventing a goal scoring opportunity. If Alumnia never touched Rooney he'd be on his goal line ready to take a goal kick.
And its a dive, because when you watch the slow motion, rather than go over, he literally does dive over the keeper because you can see the extra spring he generated himself.
Just watched the hightlights & saw the diaby own goal, i've just been shaking my head, words can't even describe how lame that own goal was.

yeah but thats like saying, a ref giving a penalty because there was shirt tugging and someone fell in the area, but they didnt have the ball.
