After Villa looking to have signed today, Albiol looking set to go, Kaka and Ronaldo gone, Silva and Alonso heavily linked, and a decent squad already; is their domination of European football for the next few years inevitable?

Or does anybody else have a little feeling that they won't even win La Liga (Barca could subtly strengthen and the squad has better cohesion and balance) or the Champions League (despite the quality; it's a cup competition something could go very wrong for them in a semi final, quarter final, or even the big day)?

Might just be me being slightly envious if I'm honest, Chelsea are a great club and have been for years but we've never been a big one, but I still hold out that I'll need to see whether this FM users dream works out as planned, I reckon spending the necessary amount on an Essien or Mascherano would've been more beneficial than Villa; Raul is still scoring, Nistelrooy probably has a season in him, Huntelaar can score for fun and Higuain is sick.

Just venting thoughts really but what do you man think are they actually gonna be as unstopabble as peoples reactions is suggesting or not?

i cant see them not winning something next season, but if they dont then who ever the manager is will need 2 head to the job centre,i think if they get wenger,mourinho,or someone on that level they could be dominant throughout europe

It's a par to Robben getting cleaned out with Silva coming in, yeah he's injury prone but he had a good season and he's one of my top "I wish Chelsea never sold..." guys.

Villa's wanted to join Madrid for years now man, didn't wanna leave Spain, we offered "considerably" more, but they rejected it cos he simply wouldn't have joined.

And yeah, the Galactico's had Makelele; an ultra-defensive player who had no other responsibility, when he joined us things fell apart for them, they have Diarra now (who is in the same club as Robben) but I don't know if he alone with be able to hold the fort with Kaka Ronaldo Silva Villa Raul and whoever else ignoring the defense, and whether he'll even have the discipline to try; although Pellegrini is the type of coach to instill a good shape to a team.

It's definately interesting, but you can't buy what Barca have really. At least this time they are trying to culture a Spanish spine (Casillas, Ramos, Abiol, Alonso, Villa etc). Should make CL and La Liga more competitive at least.

Thing is, they got duppied by Liverpool and it showed that all these players they rave on about can't cut it at the top level. Higuain and Huntelaar don't mean shit, I know Huntelaar didn't play against Liverpool but Higuain did fuck all...Robben's career has been ruined by injuries, I think they are going to become a lot better this season but need to sort themselves out in defence, they have one good defender imo in Ramos, Casillas is still class but they can't adopt this mentality of every game, "we'll outscore you cos we've got better attacking players" cos in the big games they'll get found out

I don't see them winning much unless they significantly improve their defence although its obvious they are going to have the two diarra's holding in midfield next season which will be quite good considering their workrates and power.

That will give the front 4 licence to roam, if I was madrid I would put this team out...
