big game, yet to complete the single player. had a brief go at multiplayer and will take a bit of getting used to but can see it being sick

I like it but there are a few foibles: too much bullet time on key kills, all the best set-pieces are in cut-scenes, world feels too linear (though that may just be because I bought it expecting it to be open-world a la GTA). Max's narration is pretty funny, though.

If GTA5's MP is like Gang Wars on this then GTA5 multiplayer could be sick. GTA4's Multiplayer was a bit shit except for the free roam and racing.

Max Payne 3 is getting a slew of DLC packs this year revealed Take-Two Interactive during th annual fiscal conference call.The company revealed that seven DLC releases are coming over the next year, including a co-op pack coming this summer, a ton of new maps and new multiplayer mode. Take-Two also mentioned that three million copies of the game have shipped, barely a week from its release.

The DLC won't just be for consoles. You PC gamers are in luck too. Max Payne 3 for PC comes out on June 1.

“Our community has always preferred a single worldwide launch date, and while we couldn't make it happen for the console versions, we decided to work toward a global release for Max Payne 3 on PC,” said Jennifer Kolbe, VP of Publishing. “Due to production and logistical issues we could not bring the European launch forward, so we worked with US retail to align with the original European launch window and set a new global release date of June 1.”

Fuck this game.

They have replaced loading screens with unskippable cutscenes which wouldn't be a problem except some of them are 10 minutes long. Every time i try to skip it it says "still loading", now i've never seen a ten minute loading screen in my life. This isn't a problem when you're playing through for the first time, i'm not one of them ADD sufferers that can't even pay attention to the story and skip every cutscene. Thing is i clocked it and i was going to go through it in new york minute mode., which is an arcade mode where you start every chapter with 60 seconds and run through as fast as possible racking up kills to add time to your meter so you can reach the end.

How can you have a fast paced "arcade mode" that keeps getting broken up by stupid long ass cutscenes. Oh yeah and if you die you have to start the level from the beggining and watch the 10 minute intro again.

Now the Multiplayer is fun, really fast paced. I like how they put bullet time in multiplayer and actually made it work.

has anyone found all 3 parts of a golden gun on a level? what does it give you? i always seem to find the first 2 parts fairly easily, and then never find the 3rd

It gives that gun a gold camo whenever you use it in single player or multi player.

It also gives the gun 10% extra damage and extended mags, this doesn't apply to multi player though.

Only niggles were I thought the story was a bit pointless

I was stuck on this part for a while. On the side of the boat and them guys come with the truck and all I had was a shotty. It's a good job when you die a certain amount of times it gives you more ammo and pain killers.

SPOILER
I think I'm at the end now cause it turned out the last bronco was in on it all and turned the gun on Max and now I'm in an Airport luggage area.

This game is sick though. I actually felt sorry for the guy and hes not even fucking real.

Was getting schooled online until i Started using the Mini 50. Need to know more about the guns and attachments. I'm just going in the matches and shooting lol

Took the piss. It weren't until that point I discovered you could slow down time by pressing R3

. I thought you could only dive and slow down time which baffled me knowing you could do it in the PS2 games.

you have to complete the game in one sitting with 0 deaths.

Some guy got all the way to chapter 13, 5 hours straight and this happens

Level up the Mac 10 until you can dual wield it, keep using it then you'll unlock 2 attachments. 1 that adds damage, 1 that doubles the range.
