"Are you watching , are you watching, are you watching Benitez!!"

Robbie Keane scores two goals and puts Ireland on top of their group after a 2 nil victory over Gorgea. Comprehensive and now I want you all to watch how the Republic of Ireland get further then England in South Africa in 2010. Don't get me wrong I usually follow England closer then Ireland but just watch.

Ireland were shite and if not for a ludicrous refereeing decision would have been beaten. McGeady looked good though. Whelan is a disaster, Stephen Ireland's international exile becomes more tragic every time that twunt touches the ball.

    Was he watching?

Maybe if he watches the league table, he'll see a club fighting relegation that paid millions to get back Robbie Keane.

Great, the lad scored 2 goals for Ireland, he wasn't restricted to play for Ireland while he was at Liverpool so it makes no difference. Bunch of gobshites the crowd, half of whom probably support Liverpool, funny the Irish support ain't it.

I wonder how many times he has to score for Ireland/Tottenham/Tottenham Reserves for the journos to keep bringing up the "And Benitez sold him" shit everytime. Probably the same journo's saying "Waste of £20.3m as Keane misses 2 sitters to send Liverpool top".

Gotta love the media and un-educated fans. (Not GK- but certain contigents of the Irish crowd)

Ya ur 90% on the ball, but it is the same with any country/club and I think most of these so called "un-educated" knew what they were saying but isn't that what sport is all about. TBH honest I half made this thread as a wind up but mostly to give the Irish a voice on here (even if I am alone and half English). Anyway 60% of the Irish support Man Utd and about 39% Liverpool. It was a mistake tho and Kean is wasted at Spurs (no disrespect to them) but no matter how much he says he loves playing for Tottenham his hart was broken when he left. Dumped by his childhood club.

    Yeah this basically.

I don't mind Robbie Keane at all. Its just that the media always seem to want to stick the knifes into Benitez and the football fans who read this shit following suit.

I actually think the knifes are stuck into Benitez more than any other manager, although apart from Aston Villa and Hulll, which clubs are achieving at a level not expected by them at the beginning of the season?

But Benitez consistently falls shot of fulfilling his teams potential. Liverpool could be winning all around. And in fairness Wenger gets the knife stuck in just as much.

Agree but we aren't battling for a champs league spot we're battling for the title. No one rated us last year and its viertually the same squad as our summer signings have made little impact

    Lol.

We'll probably get Owen on a bosman and use the money better elsewhere, with Pacheo or Nemeth getting a promotion from the reserves.

    But carry on talking shit
