Just to re-iterate before I go bed and see a load of posts cussing these, it was only really to bring it to the attention of the Liverpool supporters on this board, especially Slackk. I also mentioned that obviously it doesn't count for much.

But yeah like I said, the 38 games points level changes match on match and can go up or down, we're on course to finish on 83 points at the moment, so improvement is needed on other results from last year to win the league, or get close.

All it basically says is, we are in the race, but even though we are top, we are a game or two away really.

Villa had this years ago when O leary joined

over 38 games they would have won the league (i think)

and Robbie Keane was the top prem scorer in 2007

It is a good indication of form but teams who win the league dont have a terrible run of form. They just tend to have a couple of bad games
