Lol...to be honest, i always felt that he looked lost cos he'd been away for so long..
Say what you want about Ashley etc- we all know he's a cunt- but Newcastle fans are petioning endlessly for "King Kev"/God to come back and he's shit. Robbed this from Football365 but still;
In his second spell at the club, Kevin Keegan was in charge of 21 games, of which he won a massive six. Our rudimentary maths indicate that equals a win percentage of 28.57.
As a point of comparison, Sam Allardyce's record is 33.33% (8 wins in 24), Glenn Roeder's was 45.83 (33 in 72), Graeme Souness's was 44.82 (39 in 87), and Ruud Gullit's was 34.61 (18 in 52).
In fact, in statistical terms the Second Coming was actually the worst spell on Tyneside since Ossie Ardiles (21.27%, 10 in 47).

UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
keegan is a legend..... but legends aint reli the best managers
Ashley has come in for a lot of stick
Bought their debt ridden club and paid off something like 100 million of the debt
got rid of manager who fans claimed was dull
brought in manager KK who had not watched a live game in 2 or 3 years and therefore decided to appoint a technical team above him.
Tony jiminez is in charge of player recruitment and yet Dennis wise is this big villan
KK walks out after being tactically outclassed in nearly every game and its Ashelys fault
i jus wanna ask mike Ashely y employ a manager that is known for walking out clubs and country??
his management era was in the mid 90's.....
hes 2 out of touch with the modern game
newcastle fans piss me off... they hav 2 much influence on how the club is run...
Newcastle has fully descended into the realms of the unwell. They are absolutely fucking pony.
Keegan was a ridiculous appointment. The man is stale. The man is one of the biggest running jokes in English football.
On a personal note I will never forgive him for England losing their last game at the old Wembley to Germany.
Bottler? For having the balls to stand up to his board in an era when boards are constantly undermining their managers (Benitez, Jol etc)?
He gave up his pay off by quitting, rather than being sacked- which Jol didn't do, Jol hung on until he got his payoff, so in my eyes, hes got a status way above Martin. He gave up millions he could have been paid if he was sacked.
And he walked on his principles- at least there are people in football who seem to have these nowadays. There needs to be more Keegan's in the league.
And if you want to see the start he made to the league and their form since he left, it paints a different story. He came into Newcastle and had to deal with all the players Allardyce had there. Not saying they are bad, but Allardyce obviously bought players for a system he wanted to play. Last manager to have Newcastle United in a title challenge and he's the worst since Ossie Ardilles? Nah not for my money.
And if I recall, the only decent striker on Tyneside (Michael Owen) was out injured for most of his stay there.
Keegan is not entirely responsible for the state Newcastle are in. I agree with that.
But I also agree that he is a bottle case in some respects. In fact, straight down the line the man is a true bottle job.
That header in 86. Bottled.
Season 95/96. Bottled.
England. BOTTLED.
Newcastle 2nd Spell- flopped.
Keegan- laters.
Blaming the manager for the whole team bottling is a bit rich I think. I don't think that the 'Luv it, I would Luv it' really had that much bearing on the events that happened after.
I thought he did ok with England and he certainly didn't flop his 2nd spell with Newcastle. Owen out for a season, players he didn't want and having to reverse their fortunes.
They started well this season, but a player arrived at the training ground he didn't want to buy, and they sold Milner under his nose, so he respectfully walked- its not bottling, its being true to yourself.
