Haye was afriad to engage Valuev... what's he gonna be like with a Klitschko in front of him? He's gonna run around the ring until one of those straight rights finds his chin and it's game over. Haye won't last six rounds, mark my words.

QC what are your thoughts on James Degale's prospects? Were chatting in the pub yesterday about how his pro start has been pretty impressive.

He's with Warren so expect him to pick up a world title at some point, probably against the weakest title holder at that point in time. He won't be as heavily protected as Khan was though. Talent-wise I think he should be able to operate at world level, but more as a contender than a dominant champion (although he's worth too much to settle for contender status so would likely retire after a few losses rather than keep trying.)

Anthony Peterson vs Brandon Rios from last night. I'm about to watch it, heard it was the fight of the night.

Froch v Abrahams maybe pushed back till Nov or Dec
    http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=30905

I am looking forward to this fight, Froch has been lucky in several fights and the Kessler fight he was very lazy. How he thought he was ahead I dont know. I heard a rumour that he hadnt trained as well as he should of done.

Although I suspect Ward has the beating of both of them, they both could win the super six.

Should be a very watchable fight

    yeah its not looking good

The straight to semis option is still viable with the 2 upcoming fights.

Personally I have enjoyed it, but 6 fighters in a league format doesnt work.

You heard they are considering a super 6 with the cruiserweights

    and bantams

as long as i get dirrell-ward some how i don't really care. i couldn't even name 6 cruiserweights right now, the bantamweight one could have been great but a few of the more interesting names turned it down. still, it has moreno and mares so i'm happy.

    Some dirty low blows man
Who is Keyser Soze? He is supposed to be Turkish. Some say his father was German. Nobody believed he was real. Nobody ever saw him or knew anybody that ever worked directly for him, but to hear Kobayashi tell it, anybody could have worked for Soze. You never knew. That was his power. The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist. And like that, poof. He's gone.

frank warren's magnificent seven tonight on sky box office. pissed that barker and rhodes dropped out but brook v jennings, chisora v sexton and cleverly v murat are all good fights and hall is a decent replacement for rhodes.

also a good american card on later with mora v mosley, alvarez v baldomir, de leon v escalante and ortiz v harris.

    The card tonight is sweet.

Particularly looking forward to Enzo, Nathan Cleverly and Brook. Chisora and Sexton should produce fireworks too

I like the magnicifient 7 card and dont mind paying for a bigger card, even if it does lack quality and has a couple of mismatches.

Brook and Cleverly are the two im looking forward to seeing although Chisora V Sexton will no doubt be entertaining.

In other news Amir Khan is getting in the ring again with someone who could KO him since Prescott. Over the last year I have slowly been convinced that Khan maybe quite good and possibly clear out light welter. However part of me still thinks when he gets caught he may look like the flailing arm fighter he used to be and his Glass Jaw will get smashed.

Khan v Marcos Maidana is set for December the 11th.

I expect Khan to coast to victory tbh. Maidana is a dangerous puncher but he's too rough around the edges and one paced to catch Khan, imo. Khan will be moving every second of every round; expect it to look a lot like the Kotelnik fight except Maidana's lack of defense may lead him to get TKO'd in the late rounds. I also suspect Khan is slightly less fragile at 140lbs so it may take a combination or sustained attack to floor him rather than a single punch like it did back at lightweight.

I expect Khan to win and I do believe he has made huge improvements since he went to Roachs Gym but look at the 4 fights her has had since.

Barrera - Ancient and tiny compared to khan
    Kotelnik - 31 wins - 13 ko's
    Salita - 30 W - 16 Ko's
    Malignaggi - 27 W - 5 Ko's

Im interested to see if Khan can be thrown off his current Dance and Jab technique if someone catches him.
