All over this:

Rangers Football Club was a football club based in Glasgow, who played in the Scottish Premier League until the end of the 2011-12 season. The club's home was the all-seated 51,082-capacity Ibrox Stadium in south-west Glasgow. Rangers had a fierce rivalry with Celtic; the two Glasgow clubs being collectively known as the Old Firm.

Fucked up what's happening to Rangers tho. I feel for their fans tbh. All because of the cunts at the top their club will no longer be in the first league.

So can I but it is highly unlikely it will be a top 8 club or a club with a properly wealthy owner, because of the financial buffering power they have. You could not imagine Liverpool or Tottenham being unable to pay a £10 million tax bill.

The issue in Scotland is that it affects absolutely everyone. TV rights for the SPL could be negotiated and that leaves people out of pocket with little time to find a way to make up that shortfall.

If Arsenal left the Premier League then Sky would still have no problem paying the amount they do. If Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City all left (which is the equivalent of what has happened leaving one team as the runaway dominant force), then Sky would have grounds for tearing up their contract and paying less.

HMRC decided to go for Rangers ahead of Spurs, there are a lot of Prem clubs on the radar and that along with FFP could seriously fuck some people up in the coming years.

Celtic get a decent crack at the 8ish league titles Rangers won before Celtic were even a football club, get a chance to redress that balance slightly. Rangers fans get to visit other parts of Scotland, and Glasgow gets to avoid four nights of violence a year. Win win win.

@Money man I never heard anything about HMRC going after us, afaik we're one of the better run clubs...the fact Villa had a average higher salary than us says alot
