haha okay
edit this is pretty long.. i don't understand how producers have the patience for this it's confusing as fuck lol
or if you watch watch tutorials on how to do synths and all that make the tune and sorta beatbox to yourself how you want the beat to go like i find it easyer that way makes it easier to throw the beat together but yeah just play around a bit mess around with samples first then learn vsti it is hard but keep playing about and you will get there took me a while to start but im getting there lol

First go on youtube and watch a few tutorials then think of the genre you wish to do , i would say only stick to one when you start out .
kinda of gave up going to give it a go again this week any guides? im pretty clueless but im determined
if your not gonna give it time to learn your not cut out...
ive been making beats for about 3 years and im still shit![]()

Probably the best tutorials from an amateur I've seen.
Edit: Agreeing with moss btw, it'll take you about 2 years before you even make anything that you can call music but it's just about having fun making the beats really.

2 years for real lol
Lol, yeah, that's maybe pushing it actually, I started in first year of uni though and I didn't have anyone to teach me and I never looked at tutorials either so that could be why it took me forever.
Best thing to do really is get someone you know to teach you, watch them making a beat and ask loads of questions.
have been using fruity since 2006 and only this year have produced bangers, still learning tbh. basically just fool with it, don't pressure yourself to sound like anything because you likely won't ever, instead do you. do your own bastardized forms of tunes, figure sounds/tempos/rhythm structures that work for you.
