Best Brazil Argentina game for years. I watched it the same time as the Portugal game & that game was dead food compared to this one.
Every game when one team does all the attack & has all the possession then the other team scores on the counter, everyone mentions Barca vs Chelsea.
Brazil changed it up compared to their other games. Neymar plays Left Midfield normally.
Today he played behind the striker Damiao & Oscar the attacking midfielder who usually played number 10 played Right Midfield.
Neymar ran the show from early, he looked like he was on a mission to show Messi up & Messi was anonymous.
There was a lot of missed chances until finally Neymar picked Romelu out in the box & he scored.
Argentina barely had any chances, but, that gave Brazil too much confidence coming forward. Sandro got pick-pocketed by Higuain who fed Messi & he was such a pro on the finish. His legs just move across the ground so fast. 5 minutes later Messi gets put through again on the counter, he was anonymous & then bang after 5 minutes Brazil was Messi'd with basically just his great speed over the ground.
Watch the game & Messi probably had 4 highlights, his three goals one chance that was saved. Brazil really dominated & it was the Brazil u23's as well versus the proper Argentina team. I really like Marcelo. Hulk on the left didn't look as threatening. Everyone loves Oscar, he's just alright to me. 2nd half a part from the great Messi solo goal, Di Maria was put through on the counter like Messi had been in the 1st half, if it was Messi he'd have probably have scored.

I heard the young Brazilian centre backs like Juan aren't very good, is that true? Or is it just cos they're inexperienced atm?

Juan's not young or was that a different "Juan" playing.
The defense got split a number of times, but, I think the attacking intent of Brazil fed to that. Rafael played at RB rather than Danilo & he was a lot more frivolous in his approach too. Marcelo played well enough throughout the game too.
I don't think Brazil fans watching it will be downbeat or pissed at all.

Yeah the one who played was the 20 year old Juan Jesus I think, not the old one who plays for Roma.
