"For example, Chelsea won the Champions League this year, but the club [Barca] remains the benchmark in world football."
We legitimately knocked them out and then went on to win the CL - I feel he should show a little more respect to us as it seems like a sight dig and him undermining our historical win.
Haha.. I wouldn't actually rule him out as being a future legend. If he brings the Premier League to the City of Liverpool.. Imagine.
Especially if he does it on limited funds. I also envisage him doing well in Spain. Still not 40 yet, he's on the right path at least.

Don't see how Guardiola's 'revolutionised' anything either when the idea was clearly Cruyff's, he's just more successful with it by having Messi.
Depends what criteria you use to judge a manager tbh
Motivating players ....Mourhino takes that
Transfers(insignificant in Spain doe) Mourhino takes that
Adaptability....Jose
We are talking about a guy who went to Porto won the Champions League, Came to England made Chelsea win their first title since god knows when, then Inter Milan and done the same thing .P.S look what happanned to Inter when he left....
Now he is doing the same ish at Real
Pep has done well for himself but circumstances were ideal for him to do well
When Pep first joined Barca they had Dinho, Messi, Eto, Henry(later), Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol, Alves, Deco
FFS
Each and every one of those players could get into 99% of most teams starting XI
Mourhino made people like Cambiasso, Samuel, Maicon, Bosingwa (lol) etc....look like world beaters
Jose>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Pep
Case closed
Power is the ability to define phenomena and make it act in a desired manner
If you have the ability to define the only thing left is to organize it
So when a pig walks up to you you will be so organised and you will be learning some tactics
So when gets to jiving with you and the pig is wrong you whip your guns out blow him away then you the abilty and have the made that pig act in a desired manner
Were Porto/Liverpool/Chelsea whoever, the best team in Europe when they won the CL? Were Greece in 2004? Or is sustained success more of an indicator?
I repeat, find a team who can match 2 CLs, 2 semi finals, 3 league titles in 4 years over the last 20 years.
Exactly, the season where Manchester United won it, their fans said they were the best team in Europe, because they won the Champions League.
The tournament crowns a champion & Chelsea are the Champions of Europe.
However if you do take into a/c where teams have finished in the UCL, league wins & in the recent past then Barcelona, Manchester United & Chelsea are easily the best three teams in Europe.
Edit: @Shower Posse It's seems like he might have but.. Mourinho has never managed Bosingwa, Ferreira was his RB at Porto & Bosingwa replaced Ferreira as he joined Mourinho at Chelsea & then Bosingwa joined Chelsea the season after Mourinho left.
Last thing before I duck out for the weekend is replying to @Shower Posse
Ronaldinho, Deco were massive parts of the failings before Guardiola took over. He got rid, and built a team around Messi.
He got a good year out of Henry.
Messi and Iniesta were viewed as injury prone and inconsistent before Guardiola arrived. Xavi wasn't rated (certainly in this country).
Puyol's game has benefitted from Guardiola's tactics massively.
His joining the club co-incided with Alves joining.
Cambiasso, Samuel and Maicon are world beaters. A cursory glance at their careers shows that. Bosingwa has never looked like one. Look at the performances Guardiola got out of Abidal and Keita. Then bringing in Busquets and Pedro to replace Toure and Henry, big step. Not something Mourinho has typically done.
rofl, people dont support barca, they support messi!
its kind of stupid because the only time he scores big is against those shit spanish teams that would never get through the championship.
Lol are you serious? Do you watch the big games that Barca play in?
Messi scores in big games against big teams pretty often. Also how can he be top scorer in the Champions league (and set a record for most goals) and not score against top teams?
I think Messi has something like 13 goals in 15 El Classico games too.
Barca player comes out with arrogant classless comment. Suprised
Mourinho>>>>
.
Pretty much a Team full of cunts.
Iniesta though>>>
"This is Fulham for heavens sake. This is a club which 15 years ago didnt have two brass filings to rub together, which used to play in front of 3 or 4000 rattling around here. Which once played on a night in Rochdale needing points to stay off the bottom of the English League. But were brought by a very rich man, and there he is. And which has now become a hugely enriched club.
Haha.. but, don't you understand what you've just expressed.
People will think back to Guardiola's Barcelona team, just like they'd look back to Wenger's Invincibles, Milan's Invincibles, Ancelotti's Diamond.. Ajax 90's team... This is when they think about the greatest teams in history.
When they think about the greatest manager, it'll just be... Mourinho, not a team associated with his name. Just Mourinho.. and that says so much.
About the fact that Mourinho is a nomad?
I think you are forgetting the Chelsea side of the last 10 years. Most definitely Mourinho's team. His legacy team/squad will come when he decides to settle.

TBF I know Mourinho is clearly a brilliant manager but everywhere he has been he has had a brilliant team or the backing to build a brilliant team. Taking away from Pep's record just because the best players in the team were already there ain't fair IMO.
Fergie will be remembered as by far the best manager of this period anyway r/s.

He didn't lose a home game in 9 years with 4 different teams(streak ended April 2011), he won the first ever Ballon d'Or best coach award and he won the first ever treble ever in Italian football history. Also, since 2002 he hasn't gone a full calendar year without winning at least one trophy.
