TBH this is just any rave

but i totes agree with what you're saying. the vibe for the 2012 ones havent been like the old ones. maybe grime's progressing, and we're stuck in the past.
i dunno.
i just didnt enjoy this one as much as i enjoyed youth club/playground/bedroom studio clashes

Grime is a dying genre of music. It reached it's peak around 3 years ago. Now all the top MC's have moved into the mainstream or quit (or put out miserably poor mainstream that fails to do well, Scorcher, this is you).

It cannot be compared to past Eskimo raves, please don't try to compare them.

Grime has become a bit of a hipster's genre. The whole idea of not conforming is attractive to a hipster, hence why they "like" "grime". Grime has had its day. Though, we still have Merky ACE to keep us suitably entertained.

From my perspective the possible flaw I see with these Eskimo Dance raves is how packed full of names it is - like if they have 75% of the big names, that leaves much less to look forward to in the future.
This works for FWD+Rinse which has a variation of genres but does grime have enough following for this to work in their favour?
