I've read up a lot on Rodgers and am quietly confident he's pretty good and nowhere near as inexperienced as I thought he was. Prefer him to Martinez.

Swansea play some nice stuff, but can also be quite tedious/toothless at points tbh (thinking of vs Newcastle and us at WHL in particular). I hope he does well, I think he's a promising manager.

He's an actual coach, which is more that can be said for most managers. Loads of qualities to be admired. Great appointment, well worth the risk.

But assuming they are still going for a long term vision, with sporting and technical directors where the manager is not so important to the club as the structure, then I am optimistic if cautious.

They implied at 2:30 he was just going for a first meeting. As far as I know it's been wrapped up since yesterday.
