so i took his idea and made a half decent one at work with a metal box etc, sounds pretty good and actually works lol, will up some pics and audio when i get a bit of practice on it.

Dun know the "ghetto" equipment. Not a bad tutorial tbh, will consider giving it a try sometime next week. Also is it just me or does both this dude and the video look like its straight outta the 80's? lol.

That sure is Ghetto.

When I've used Talk-boxes I've preferred the Rocktron "Banshee" as it's got a built in amp and tone control.

I used to have the Heil Talkbox ,but I blew the speaker as you have to use an external amp...long

I wouldn't suggest making a ghetto talkbox as saliva ends up going back down the tube and drenching the speaker inside untill it's blown lol.

lol yeah i was worried but the saliva thing, seems ok so far...but yeah mines come out ok you kno, used a decent speaker and i got an old technics synth its just a case of learning how to talk with a tube in your mouth lol

i recorded a couple little bits on it stil, il up them when i get home later.

by the way, stevie wonder on a talkbox is too sick, theres some clips on you tube

Ok,

A good thing is to practice your "S's" and Sh's" for example holding the tube in between the front of your teeth and saying "Shake" etc.

For most of the other words put the tube in the side of your mouth by your cheek.

A good tip:

Is to overly chew gum in the side of your mouth to strengthen your jaw.

Try putting a Triangle or Square wave through the tube also...the louder the better (within reason)

Every now and then keep the tube as spit free as you can, cause it will destroy your speaker.
