and it's.... C FROM T
Stop missing the point. People want us to lose every week.
Wanting your team to win > wanting a non-rival to lose >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> cheering a goal scored against your team.
Probably have.
Thing is, I don't give a shit about people wanting United to lose, it happens all the time, I'll congratulate City no probs, I'm not taking anything away from that... my point is: Cheering an opponent's goal against your own team because it affects a non-rival's result is stupid. I don't care. I'd say it even if it wasn't at United's expense. This has nothing to do with us or City.
When Bolton went down in the 90's or early 2000's, they were playing Chelsea. Chelsea were chanting "Come on City, come on City". Surely being there to see the Premier League title get presented plays a part as well?
It's going to be weird for Man United though, year after year other teams suffer the last minute goal that wrecks their dreams of a cup progression, big 3 points, etc, nice for it to happen to the Mancs now. Anyone under 27-28 doesn't know what barren years are tbh.
It was inevitable it would happen to us eventually tbh. I said on the day I know how Bayern fans felt now.
Would you cheer a goal against Arsenal?
There's a difference between that and actively shouting "come on City!" when they are playing your own team.
Last game of the season, league position secure and nothing to fight for - if that goal means that Liverpool win the title instead of United, then yeah I would cheer that goal.
If it was the same in a title race between City and Chelsea, and Chelsea scored against you, you'd also cheer. You'll probably say that you wouldn't, but actually you would (assuming you're a proper fan and hate City enough).
Believe me I wouldn't.
I posted this in another thread, but my friend is a scouser, ST holder at Anfield and was there against Chelsea in 2010 when they lost 2-0 and he didn't want them to lose to deny United the title. IIRC Liverpool had nothing to play for in terms of the league. Is he now not a real fan because he wanted Liverpool to win?
This is ridiculous.
United are not QPR's rivals, they cheered, let's be honest, out of jealousy. Even if they were rivals I still don't condone it.
I will never cheer a goal against the team I am supposed to support. It just makes the whole idea of supporting a team pointless.
ITT we read conspiracy theories.
