The European Championship Competition -vCash (GF Donators Only)

@The Wet Dog and I have been discussing getting a competition going. Below is the general idea.

We'll have a prize of £50 and a Grime Jumper (your size/colours you want etc, posted out for free) for whoever can obtain the most vCash during the European Championships- all from the same starting point.

To help fund this in part (I'll make up whatever shortfall) only people who have donated to the forum will be able to enter. The lowest donation amount is only £2 and available by accessing this page - http://www.grimeforum.com/forum/payments.php

Every person that enters will be given 100,000 vCash. Whoever has the most at the end wins the £50 and the jumper. If you'd rather everyone in the top five be given £10 each, we can do that as well - I don't mind- its there to be discussed*.

In terms of other rules, they are open to be decided upon between us all- in terms of top ups in the first half of the tournament, whether they are allowed/outlawed etc.

If you have any other ideas for competitions, or prediction based games we can play over the summer, let me know.

*Prizes as decided by participants are:

1st - £35 and the Grime jumper
2nd - £10
3rd - £5

I'd prefer the winner getting £40 and maybe 2nd place getting £10, or even the winner taking the lot.

Nice idea, rules seem good as they are, wouldn't do top ups though. If I have an account at the start of the tournament i'll get involved!

As for the winners could maybe do something like 1st. £30+Grime top, 2nd. £10 + a top and just £10 to 3rd place, cos there'll be loads of people entering so better to have a few prizes instead of just for the top person

Fair enough if everyone thinks this way. I'd just hate for everyone to stupidly go all in on the first match on say Spain, Spain to lose, and the one guy who forgot to bet has won on the first day

Yeah or that, the main thing I wanted to point out was that top 5 shouldn't all have equal prizes as they won't have equal vCash amounts so it's better that the winner gets the most then the next gets less and so on. Someone who wins the whole thing with a million vCash shouldn't get the same as someone who came 5th and only won 200,000 vCash.

Would also be more tense with higher prizes and less margin for error.

Also you lot need to decide what sort of bets we are going to allow for each match and then we need to stick with it. And whether there will be weekly accumulator threads made in advance. So it's not like it is now with the moderator choosing what goes up, but you'll know what's going up each time.

with top ups though, you'll jsut get a fuck load of people betting on any underdog with good odds, until they get a winner, it might work if the top up is only like 30k-40k or something like that, but any more and i reckon people will just abuse it.

kind of like i did with hutch's accumulator lol

Suggestion: Win/lose/draw + 4 anytime goalscorer markets (two from each team, with the two being the ones most likely to score).

That way instead of everyone betting on the favourite with just win/lose/draw there is the option of a riskier market which not everyone will decide to bet on.

When I say "top ups" - I don't mean as they have been now. I mean that within the first week or two weeks, or certain period of time, you are entitled to one top up of your money. A little bit like poker. If you don't want that, that's fine, but it just takes me writing down all the participants names and crossing them out.

Yeah, @Mr. Jefferies A standard level of betting for each etc.

Was going to donate anyway but will do this week to enter the competition.

I think 1st place just be £30 with a jumper.
2nd & 3rd £10 each or something

Will all the posters who have entered get the 100,000 on top of what they already have? E.g. @Mr. Jefferies has 1,900. So will his be 101,900?
or will everyones be changed to 100,000 so they're equal at the start?

Well, everyone's complaint was that vCash at the moment is worth nothing. So I'm trying to fix it. Everyone would be set to 500/1000 (for people playing for fun) and the people in with a chance of the money would be manually set to 100,000 at the start.

As for monthly Premier League betting, we'll have to see what we can do for that, nearer the time.
