I dunno if he will have the same success at another club.
woah
wants to take a break from football
I dunno if he will have the same success at another club.
"This is Fulham for heaven’s sake. This is a club which 15 years ago didn’t have two brass filings to rub together, which used to play in front of 3 or 4000 rattling around here. Which once played on a night in Rochdale needing points to stay off the bottom of the English League. But were brought by a very rich man, and there he is. And which has now become a hugely enriched club.”

Chelsea broke Barca

Nah, this has been speculated since last season when he was winning everything. Sid Lowe in the Guardian has been saying for about a year he saw Guardiola just taking a break from football (rather than going to Chelsea, Arsenal, a team in Italy etc). He had back problems, looks mad stressed, his assistant has been seriously ill, and is obviously feeling the pressure at a massive club where he's spent most of his career as a player and coach.
Be interesting to see how the players react once this is confirmed, and who the next coach is. Bielsa from Bilbao? Enrique? Although he hasn't set the world alight at Roma.
Guardiola should do the technical director role at the FA they were talking about, in a view to maybe taking over Arsenal if Wenger decides to leave in a year or 2.
Arsenal fans are more prepared & open to that slower Tiki-Taka style that he'd want to bring.
Brendan Rodgers, Andre Villas-Boas & Guardiola all believe in the same philosophy, all are top managers. I think that AvB could be the next Barcelona a manager & his style etc suits them, I think he'd do great there.
I never want to see Tiki-Taka at Chelsea.
Mourinho said he decided yesterday to stay @ Madrid & drew the line under his future. Mourinho doesn't mess about. He's come out now & siad he's staying & will try & win the Champions League w/ that squad next year.
The manager I think is an interesting candidate for the Chelsea job is Lucien Favre from Borussia Moenchengladbach.
I don't watch German football & all I know is superficial details, but, he plays & teaches great football, he's made every club he's been at better.
He's had years in management & so has more depth in coaching than these very fresh just turned "player come coach" managers.
He's an actual coach, he brings through younger players.
Unlike Boas, his football is condusive to the Premier League's style & conducive to direct football, he just takes it to an elite level.
