Teams with rich owners and no history, coming in purchasing players for over inflated prices, stoping them from going to other teams who can't afford to spend such ridiculous money. Buying their place in the table and ultimately trying to buy the title, whilst stopping other teams from competing for it or even getting a top 4 finish. Teams that have worked hard for years to achieve their status and position in english football, despite limited funds and battling through hard times...........to be swept aside by a foreign oil tycoon looking for a new hobby til he gets bored?
If you think this is ok and back these teams, then you are not a true football fan....despite how many 'cup finals' you claim to have been to.

Why is wanting other teams to win the Premier League to freshen it up not being a proper football fan? It sounds like your bitter because the Glazers have reduced your spending power and another team have come through and can spend sums of £30m+ on their first team.
I would argue that supporting the team that wins everything and never going to the games is worse. Not that I am much better at the moment, supporting a top 8 Premier League team and not having been to a game for a year and a half, but I'm not the one daring to talk about proper football fans.
Seriously, you can't be under the age of 25, support Man United and talk about proper football fans, when there are lads travelling the breadth of the country to watch teams in the conference.

TBH My dad supports any club from Lancashire bar Liverpool. Wigan/Bolton/Man U. But Man U over Man City, I get texts through saying "come on Man U" off him when they go infront, I normally tell him to piss off.
But he's started supporting Liverpool now as well coz of me and my brother (Ying Yang). He's not a massive football fan in that he buys the kits and he supports them, I mean in terms of teams he would prefer to win.

Yee i hear that not many of my mates really follow football and if they do its west ham so more often then not i end up watching championship games would rather west ham win then others so i guess thats sort of become my second team. Used to go watch Dagenham & Redbridge quiet a bit at home as well but havent been to a game in god knows how long.
