It's a leak from a Government source, one file out of 100,000's, when they said they would let the families see all the files in total before releasing them to the public.
It's an attempt to paint Liverpool fans as drunk on the day again, to improve Maggie's image, and underhand and callous. But I've come to expect nothing less of the current government. By the way, the report states that the "unnamed" police officer told her 4 days after the disaster, but Ingham still stood at Hillsborough and talked about a "Tanked Up Mob" - 3 days before that, so its irrelevant.
For the record, a judicial enquiry exonerated Liverpool fans of all blame for the day. It could have been the fans of any team. But to be honest, that they have to resort to such tactics means to me there must be something in there, if they need to cloud the general public's opinions before everything else comes in.
