It's too late now; hardly any gd mcs care about grime anymore / all the new guys are shit / the beats aren't levelling. This will not change purely b/c raves aren't popping (eskimo dance this yr was nostalgia - butterz raves being the only other I'd count on, which mainly focuses on instrumentals - this not being what grime is about for me) which then reflects on radio / grime isn't hot on the roads anymore, hence why no guys w/ hunger are coming through / there are v. few producers who make gd grime beats anymore (and even w/ these, u could argue that many would fit into the "electronic" music spectrum rather than grime), the rest are obsessed w/ ripping off trap or leaning twrds noisy dubstep - and for the person that suggested producers such as spooky and darq e freaked should try make tunes like orangeade VIP and moodswings VIP; no. The originals of both of those tracks were 5 min + iirc, like most of their tracks, which to put simply, aren't loops; they work b/c there's a balance - I don't want to hear "spartan" w/ some emotional breakdown LOL... A little variation? Kl. 5+ mins all the time? No. One of the best things about grime production was the simplicity and how fun they were to mix w/ that.
I don't want to hear about Birmingham mcs either; I respect their hunger, and there's a couple decent ones, but the ship has sailed. It's gd they're building a buzz around their bits but grime (mcing) is a ldn thing and always will be - a couple may come through yh, fuck a whole scene though sry. Some of the accents <<<
Basically I'm happy to peep w/e slew dem, newham generals, big h, president t, trim, roachee, terror danjah, d.o.k, swindle, royal-t, rapid (production-wise), spyro and butterz are doing - I've probably missed a few. Joker, bok bok, starkey etc. make gd shit too but they're not part of grime like that. The rest I'll give a chance if I see it on here... Grime doesn't excite me anymore, basically.
I posted this off my phone so I'll fix it up a little when I'm @ the pc LOL
