Hij - Commolli said that the bulk of your spending had already been done & that fans shouldn't expect any more big signings.

Different Liverpool fans I know for the past 3 seasons have mooted finishing above Chelsea & it's never materialised, but, yo can see this year, at this point we are 5th. As a Chelsea fan, I cannot assume that we'll be better next year & we won't just have another hazardous season.

However, I love the quality in our squad... Mata, Luiz, Ramires, Sturridge, Courtois, Romeu, Bruma, Kakuta, Lukaku, McEachran, Bertrand, Mikel all under 25..
Iva, Cech, Torres, Terry & Essien 30 & under.... & resources are still available.

I think Comolli said we wouldn't be signing a lot of players like we did last year, but there would be small adjustment and he also stated there were players in Europe (e.g not English) who were willing to join the project. That could be posturing, but I imagine some players would want to join Liverpool, we still have a pretty good reputation in Europe and will be in some form of European competition. I don't imagine the Hazard's of this world would be wanting to join us, but I'd imagine we can get some players.

Like I said though a signing like Junior Hoilett would be a step in the right direction, he's quick, young and has skill and he'd be on a free, the main problem would be a top four team getting him instead, or another team offering more money. I think Tottenham are interested, but you'd hope he'd come here as he'd get more game time. But what Comolli says sounds about right, the league table doesn't lie, but we have played great football at times, even against Arsenal despite losing - and we need a finisher and a tricky player to play in between the lines, ala Luis Garcia, Yossi Benayoun who we haven't really replaced. Or, simply a poacher with Suarez playing that line role - one can only imagine Suarez feeding Torres - it was what we had hoped to do.

Admittedly I wouldn't have snapped your hand off at the start of the season for being 7th at this point, winning the Carling Cup and being in an FA Cup Quarter Final, but I'm not exactly too displeased. Could be another outing to Wembley, possibly two and I don't think this season was the be-all and end-all. Obviously I'd much prefer to be in with a shout of 4th at this point, but its the squads first full season together, and I'd hope we'd hit the ground running with a couple of neat additions next season - unfortunately as is always the case, we won't be the only team trying to improve.

For real, I like Hoilett, he's young, dribbles well & importantly he has the pass as well. He's basically English too, he's been here since he was like 12, so he fits in with the British policy.

On Hazard I like him, he is good, but, it's come to that point where he is overrated for me. Perhaps he'll grow into the player people talk about at a better club, he is a talent, but, he's not as good as Lucas Moura for Sao Paulo at taking players on.

He isn't as much as a goal threat as he should be, the way people talk about him, you'd think he could get 20 goals a season for you.
Maybe, but, I dunno.

Nope. He's gone. Done. Finished. Fucked. He will never get back to world class, he may get decent again but I doubt even that, and there's no point in shelling out more millions on a decent striker.
