@Pred Are you still getting this?
It looks a lot more polished than the last time I saw this tbh. It still ain't the RE I love but it looks like a good coop game.
You get to become a zombie
AI Looks thick as shit though.
Released: 23 March 2012 (GAMEPLAY)

@kyro I'm torn. I like the idea of fighting classic BOWs in a team game, but I don't quite know how the enemies are going to act. If lickers don't react to sound but instead use eyesight I will want to kill someone. And the re4 sound effect when you pick up an item bugs me. It feels really out of place.
Ultimately I think my decision will be made by others. General community reaction and video reviews are what I'll be waiting for. Still haven't touched peace walker, but that's more stealth than shooting.
This looks awful, another action gameive not heard of this before tbh and watching the first video i thought they'd remade RE2 or some shit which looked decent with the graphics. Then i watched for longer and was disappointed. I dont get why there are soldiers trying to kill soldiers, whats that all about? lol.

@NSF yeah I get you :/ thought it was a re-make and got all happy but then clock it was soldiers vs. soldiers vs. zombies.... bit weird nevertheless I'm still going to cop and see what its like, if I don't like it I'll just send it back

The characters you play as, IIRC, are a secret squad sent in by Umbrella to clean up after them and leave no traces of...anything. They are there to kill everyone, including Leon and Claire. Whether they actually achieve that (and thus make this completely non-canon) remains to be seen (AFAIK).
http://residentevil.wikia.com/Reside...n_Raccoon_City'Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is an upcoming 2012 third-person shooter video game for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, co-developed by Slant Six Games and Capcom,[2] and currently scheduled for a release on March 20, 2012 in North America and March 23, 2012 in Europe.[3] It is part of the Resident Evil series, being set around the same time as Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis and the two Resident Evil Outbreak titles. However, it is a non-canon "what-if" scenario and has no relevance to the main series story or timeline.[4]

<<<<<<<<<<<<<< tbh
The single player mode got a 3/10 from Games TM.
'For Resi they stated how it was like a SOCOM game with a Resident Evil skin hence not fitting in with the brand, AI of teammates is dreadful i.e. run into walls, shoot at nothing, only good at being bullet sponges, criticised glitches like zombies popping out of thin air 'mere centimetres away', unimaginative bland set pieces like zombies popping out of doors and closets, the list goes on. They also mentioned how the Leon Kennedy scene doesn't even get a cutscene or any other fanfare therefore a wasted opportunity, wondering why Capcom even gave the reins to Slant Six although the reviewer 'wished them no ill'. I must stress this was only the single player code they reviewed 'due to print constraints' but still harsh.'
The reviews for this are all over the place from threes to eights. I might buy it anyway though cause I ain't bought anything new (MGSHD don't count) in snise MW3.
This year is turning out to be a mess so far. ME3 ended shit, RE:ORC gets shit reviews, Ninja Gaiden 3 ends up being utter shit from what I've read, street fighter x tekken has robbed people of money.... At least silent hill downpour got decent reviews which surprised me.
least its one less game to buy
does this game have 2 player offline coop like resi 5 did?
Bro, you think paying for characters that are on the disk is fine even though there's people using them now, online and guess what? They ain't paid for shit. You've been robbed my man. Who's talking nonsense again?
When I mentioned them game in the post before, they were all games that had a lot of press and hype.
Catherine is good from what I've heard but it's not a high profile game, it has a niche audience.
MGS:HD was sick but it weren't new. I knew what I was getting when I bought it. I could say this year has been fucking amazing if I was to mention Jak and Daxter collection, Silent Hill Collection, DMC Collection, Ratchet & Clank Collection and Final Fantasy X HD but they ain't new.
And Asura's Wrath is out already? Crapcoms marketing <<<<<<

I think if Capcom turned around & gave me only 4 - 10 characters to play with and i had to pay for the rest then i'd be ripped off. They gave us 40+. We have an online training mode after all these years, a decent replay system, challenges, missions, decent fan service in terms of win quotes & cutscenes among both sides & much more.
TBH I'm not even slightly phased. You're still talking nonsense, there's plenty of shitty fighting games that give you less content, less community following / feedback & don't last as long but sold for the same price. Capcom already confirmed the content that's due to come out in the next few weeks, both free & paid content. Only shit we have to pay for is 12 characters (same way we pay for Blazblue characters, COD maps, Gears Extra Chapters, Fifa teams, blah blah) & costumes.
So yes i'd still say you're talking nonsense. They explained why they made the move to put these characters on disc and it made sense. No one likes to download a forced update of 1-2GB just to play online in future when they come out. Put the shit on the disc and from day 1 when it comes out you'll see characters properly.
Don't blame their marketing on the fact of you didn't keep up with when a games coming out lol.
