I don't see how it would tbh.
The game probably won't come out till say Q4 2012.
And Saints Rows out this year.
Surely people who want both are not going to go "oh GTA V coming out next year I'm going to wait a whole year instead of buying SR3".
Now If GTA V was coming out in November then it would be a different story.
I think it'll give SR3 a little publicity boost, as you'll have some mention SR3 in there articles and comparing certain aspects from the trailer!

I would expect GTA V Q4 2012.
So plenty of time to enjoy SR3 and other games :D
But lemme say this expect Microsoft to snag Timed Exclusive DLC for it.
And at E3 GTA V Presented at Microsofts Conference!

GTA4 story wise was shit when you compare them to the others. They just weren't as memorable as the older charcters from the other GTA's. The Ballad of Gay Tony expansion was sick. That's how the story should of been to start with.

My last hope is that the V which obviously stands for 5 also is a hint at V being for Vice city. I think that's hoping a bit to much though lol

You got to think to that just because they go back to city, it doesn't mean it's going to be set in the same decade as the PS2 games were.

It was a bit of a rumour but people in the gaming industry have already said that this next GTA was going to be about the FBI and other large inner city organisations.. instead of drive by shootings, there will be different sort of crimes like fraud, etc

so the logo kinda makes sense.. but you never know lol
