So ... dilemma ...

You have 2/3 really hot tracks (in your opinion) and a mySpace.
Your mySpace has a couple of decent tunes on, but nothing on the new beats.

Do you:
a. put the new stuff up, but lose the freshness
or
b. hold it back and only show it to the artists you're trying to get on it

The problem with a, imo, is that the tune loses it's newness and possible hype if people have heard it before it's vocalled.

The problem with b, though, is that when originally contacting the artist, only the lesser beats are on your page so you MAY not get a reply if they don't think they're that hot, even though the new stuff is hot.

What do you do?

Host it where? I've still not found a way of showing MCs tunes that works for more than a couple artists

But then that's just option a? The public hear it before the vocal ... imagine if the Top 3 Selected instrumental had been out for months before the vocal ... would it have had such an impact etc.?

Look at Gully Brook Lane;

Bare guys had heard it before they got it because of all the "Exclusive trading" that went on

Same with Reggae.

People still wanted the tune after they had heard it banged out on radio or through voice clips etc...

And, in the time it takes to put it up, and then message 10-20 artists with a similar message to each of them, and for those guys to check it out....How many members of the public are actually gonna hear ur showreel?

After they have heard it and want to do a tune or wahtever, u can just take it down.
