i mean to UK artist not neccesarily grime but you never know all we need is for wiley to follow up with something grimey.(dosent look likely doe)

best chance of grime hitting charts is kano with 140 grime street as long as he properly promotes the album along with the grime sound

agree, 12 months ago uk acts were not getting the same attention from labels. I also believe that a davinche powered kano track may be the best chance of a grime track charting, that or a decent single from the newham gens

yeah, i know it's not a grime track, but i want to see how "rolex sweep" does. And if JME drops videos for his songs he might get in the charts... Grime artists not necessarily grime tracks are becoming the "in" thing slowly.

I think the labels are just jumping on it for now, and wont support it for long, couple of years max.

Do people reckon labels looking for UK talent now is anything to do with Estelle's label showing that UK "Urban" acts can be number one and sell records?

Things are picking up.

Shame none of the tunes are grime but it's still good stuff.

real grime doesnt get into charts and grime artists getting there with their non-grime tunes can only do harm to the real grime. little one or two tune long harm but still a harm (flow dan's tune, og's tune, ruff sqwad etc.)

healthy underground scene with vinyls and normal raves >>>>> begging mainstream

Maybe.., Have Skepta & Wiley even got album deals at the moment though?

Labels only signing the singles so far it seems.

You can have both

Wiley is proving this as well, if your willing to put the work in that is.

The scene should be able to have a good amount of mainstream and underground activity, like hiphop.

you know what i meant, wiley could, ghetto could and maybe two or three others max.

our ''real'' grime scene is about having those normal people who can deliver a massive 16bar on a set here, fuck up a dvd there, not just the robots like wiley.

if a man like say demon had his mainstream hit, im sure he'd lost ''it''. and so would p-money, frisco or whoever gets ratings in grime now. them man are background profiles, lets face it, only scene they could handle on their own is grime scene.
